Trust your instruments and not your ass.

Never forget the 3 ‘ates’ of piloting priorities:

Aviate
Navigate
Communicate

In that order.

It would be interesting if they compared the older generation with the younger kids that grew up with video games and the Microsoft flight simulators.

Also, Kobe Bryant.

Doolittle , in his autobiography mentioned that Lindberg almost lost it when flying the mail in bad weather.

Kobe wasn’t flying but probably dictated the routing. 3 miles west after takeoff they would have been CAVU and been able to see their destination. Course that would have meant flying over water.

VFR flight into IMC does not discriminate by age.

For the last 40 years or so, VFR pilots are given rudimentary IFR instruction so that if they accidentally fly into a cloud they can turn around and get themselves out of danger.

Just follow Pilot Debrief, Juan Browne or Scott Perdue GA accident analyses on their youtube channels and you’ll never fly again.

A report of a problem that doesn’t actually exist. All pilots know of the instrument rating and all pilots have basic instrument time as part of their license.
