The United States is considering Ukraine's request to obtain long-range Tomahawk missiles for its effort to push back against Russian invaders, Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has asked the United States to sell Tomahawks to European nations that would send them to Ukraine. Vance said on “Fox News Sunday” that U.S. President Donald Trump would make the "final determination" on whether to allow the deal.

"We're certainly looking at a number of requests from the Europeans," Vance said.

Tomahawk missiles have a range of 2,500 km (1,550 miles), and would be a powerful asset in Ukraine's arsenal as it fights back against regular barrages of Russian missile and drone attacks.

Giving Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine would be totally stupid.

Sounds like the Neocons have too much influence on Vance and trump.

If Putin wants to throw nukes it’s on him.

><

Tell that to the people of Berlin, London, Paris and other big cities in Europe who would die.

Yet another mistake. We don't manufacture Tomahawks anymore. When they are gone, we are out. Why waste them in Ukraine?

“What I figure is that the Deep State sent a message to Trump with Kirk’s killing...”

Your problem is you can’t figure. You need to figure in Butler; did that change Trump?

“””””He never said that. He said he was going to end this war, which Biden caused.”””””

A war which President Trump knew could happen, which is why he had American troops in Ukraine training their armed forces, and why he was supplying them with the weapons that played such an important part in preventing Putin’s taking of Kiev during his first term, long before Zelensky became president.

“”””We don’t manufacture Tomahawks anymore.”””””

We do still make the Tomahawk, a more advanced version, and the problem is to get the government and foreign governments to commit to buying more and guaranteeing the makers that they will buy them.

The patsy failed them in Butler. With Kirk, the patsy wasn’t any better but they learn from their mistakes that you still need a patsy for window dressing, but you leave the killing to a true professional hit team.

I've been out of the loop on manufacturing for a while. I had a co-worker who worked on the Tomahawk project in San Diego as his prior workplace. The buildings where the work was done were mostly shuttered and demolished.

ChatGPT reports we still manufacture Tomahawks in non-nuclear format in a Block V delivery.

We still make them and still sell them, something good coming from Putin’s invasion is that America and American aligned governments are agreeing to make their weapon purchases easier on the industry by agreeing to more dependable contracts and long term commitments, which in turn has allowed the manufacturers to add new plants and production lines due to a more consistent business model.

And they may use them. They threaten to do so often. At what point do stop having to nuclear threats? Never? Why would it stop after Ukraine? I think mutual assured destruction is being rethought.

FAKE NEWS
Vance did not say the US is considering providing Tomahawks to Ukraine.
Vance said, “We’re certainly looking at a number of requests from the Europeans,” Vance said. “

All that means is Vance is telling the public Ukraine/NATO are still asking for weapons. Asking. “Looking at requests” does not mean considering giving Tomahawks.

I wish we could direct our remarks to those making decisions. I think they are making decisions with vast consequences and doing some dice rolling. Are their guesses going to be correct or best? Don’t know.

“ How many tomahawks could we give the EU to give them to Ukraine and then excellent targetting assistance? Thousands?!!”

Sell. Sell to the EU. Trump isn’t giving NATO anything . That increase in NATO funding is paying for American weaponry.
