Ukrainian drones on Saturday struck an oil pumping station in the Russian Volga riverside region of Chuvashia, causing the station to halt work, regional governor Oleg Nikolaev said in a statement posted on Telegram.
Nikolaev said that the attack took place near the village of Konar, around 1200km (745 miles) from Ukrainian territory. He said there had been no casualties and only “minor damage” inflicted.
Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure in recent weeks targeting refineries and export terminals to reduce Moscow’s export revenues, stir domestic discontent and push the Kremlin to peace talks.
The attacks have reduced Russian oil refining by almost a fifth on certain days and cut exports from key ports, pushing Moscow close to reducing its oil production.

Interesting. Gotta be a thousand miles away.
Smart strategy, there is a ripple effect to the damage done when the oil doesn’t flow.
Pipelines and wells can freeze, refineries that are still operating have no product to refine and revenue declines and costs increase.
I have speculated since almost the beginning that this war will turn on economics.
Ukraine doesn’t have the equipment and manpower to liberate all of its territories if pitin and the Russians are willing to take the losses necessary to keep them, however if the economics of maintaining this war fail, and the average Russian, but more importantly the oligarchs and Moscow and St. Petersburg residents decide they have had enough a military collapse of the fronts is possible.
The biggest impediment to this is pitin and his minions realization that defeat means an end to them.
There is no retirement for dictators that have betrayed their country
There are hundreds of such undefendable pumping station targets.
The process of taking such targets out is ongoing and worthwhile. The cost benefit ratio is extremely high.
The disruption of various oil product flow causes serious problem to planners and users. Russia is basically screwed
Dear American Gasoline Customers:
We deeply regret the inconvenience that Tren de Aragua sabotage has caused you.
We are doing our best to restore our facilities and the flow of products to our customers.
We are not increasing our prices more than is necessary to compensate for the damage.
******
Would such sabotage break you, or merely aggravate you?
There were very few cars in the CCCP of 1989.
The Russian Ukraine military operation probably needs as much motor fuel as an American city of about 100,000 people.
“the oligarchs”
Their mansions and apartments are as luxurious as ever and likely to stay that way.
Their maids, butlers and cooks show up on schedule.
Their caviar supply is ample.
What food they can’t import can be cooked up locally.
I don’t know the Russian words for copycat recipe.
“Moscow and St. Petersburg residents decide they have had enough”
There are far more Americans being discouraged from buying imports by massive Trump tariffs than Moscow and St. Petersburg residents that could lose the ability to buy imported goodies.
Walmart is raising prices 15% to 30% on a massive scale.
Should I pay 15% to 30% more, or wait for production to get moved to Mexico?
A neighbor here in Florida recently got rid of his troublesome BMW.
Troublesome German cars owned by rich Russians might get sold off to say drivers in Kazakstan or Azerbaijan (who can get replacement parts) and a new Russian car bought.
Did you have a mugasm at that thought?
Dear FRiends, Our FReepathon is our next concern. We still need to raise approximately $9k before the end of the month to meet our goal! And I think we’re gonna need a little prayer here. Thank you very much and God bless you.

“There are hundreds of such undefendable pumping station targets”
Replacement pumps and repair people could be flown in by helicopters.
Damaged pumps can be flown out for salvage.
Perhaps true, but hitlers minions lived well till they didn’t
Pitin needs cash and theu got it and he will get it when he gets more desperate
Hope those oligarchs stay away from windows
Just my 2 cents or 2 rubles 😂
Large Russian Advance Within Kupyansk Threatens Ukrainian Supply Lines
“Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like “a paper tiger.”

I am surprised. I never thought we’d get hit, but we got a couple of drone attacks a few months ago here in the Chuvashia city where I live. Just the night before, I told my dad and stepmom not to worry, that we are far from Ukraine.
