OREM, Utah (KSL) – Students from a school in Utah are traumatized after a classmate brought a gun on a field trip and shot themselves in front of others.
Police said the ninth grader from Canyon View Junior High shot themselves while on a field trip at South Fork Park.
That student was flown to a local hospital, where they died.
KSL does not normally report on suicides, but because the student brought a gun to school and fired it in front of other students, it brings it to another level.
A group of ninth grade students put up a memorial outside the school in memory of the student who died.
They didn’t want to talk on camera, but said they heard the gunshot, which shocked and scared everyone.
Further information was not released.

It goes much farther than that.
Themselves, they.
We are Legion, for we are many.
According to a local fox station it was a boy.
If perp/victim had 65 genders it would be mass murder
Classmates got to see what mental disease looks like.
Sad, but I would bet someone knew about the delusion and instead of getting mental help for the perp....said....oh, perp is just finding its gender ..harmless social growth...
Some here are saying Utah under attack because of Mormon values and I would counter by saying despite Mormon values.
Whatever you think of the theology of the LDS, surely there is no doubt that Mormon culture is fairly traditional on sexual roles, many would say too conservative. So it does not surprise me there would be a little added social tension in Utah as the liberal culture, most likely to be found in schools, clashes with the Mormon culture that presumably most parents of students might still espouse.
This was evident in the Charlie Kirk shooter’s transition into (apparently) leftist thought processes. It was also evident in another event nearby to where he lived, where two parents were killed by their transitioning offspring.
Now having said that, a lot of people participating in this thread drew the conclusion that (because of pronouns used in the report) there was a transexual component to this event, and that is not a demonstrable fact (yet). It could have been some other psychosis at work, or a prank gone wrong, or even a case where a would-be school shooter lost nerve and just completed the last part of the usual set of actions.
Just putting these ideas out there as possible, not definite — but I don’t blame Mormons for the violence in Utah.
By the way, story got lost or buried, but remember there were two guys of Pakistani origins arrested near the Kirk shooting scene, accused of wiring up a news media vehicle to blow it up. I read somewhere that the charges have been modified (still domestic terrorism) because apparently the so-called explosive device was a fake — it was meant to create fear but not to blow up a vehicle. Once again, not obvious Mormons. But you don’t have to change all the letters.
Every one of them.
More like LSD family values.
Impossible to understand using all the woke words only hard leftists can decipher.
You must mean another "it".
Its Rascon byline
Though I suppose it could be editor or even publisher override
I guess you can say that about any article
Something is weird out there in the desert.
It’s been said things we aren’t supposed to know about are being covered up.
Probably dressed in magic Mormon underwear, which yeah, is pretty gay.
Dan Rascon sits down when he pees.
Sounds like it got all of “themselves” with one shot. In the future, when a pro-noun entity commits a crime, are all of the pro-nouns used by the entity guilty are just the pro-noun that committed the crime.
Was “that” or “them” or “this” found guilty ........
He had a mouse in his pocket. He shot the mouse first.
Editors who can't make their writers adhere to Rules of Grammar should they, themselves, be fired.
He confused show-and-tell day with field trip day.
Shot themselves? They died? How many of them were there?
I agree.
I suspect that itself would have been appropriate.
