Charlie Kirk Understood: Government Must Have “No Role” in Education
The New American ^ | September 24, 2025 | Alex Newman

Charlie Kirk understood that without addressing education and stopping the escalating indoctrination of children, evil would win and the West would die. He told me so repeatedly. Homeschooling and getting the government out of education entirely is not just desirable, but essential, he argued.

In the aftermath of his brutal martyrdom on a college campus as he debated students, much has been said and written about Charlie’s politics, his engagement with college students and youth, his theological views, his beautiful family, his love for Christ, and his gargantuan impact on the nation. Those were all crucial parts of his legacy.

Far less has been said about his extremely passionate efforts on the education front. But as he told me multiple times, this is the key to winning the war and turning the tide. In particular, he believed that government must ultimately be removed from education entirely as parents reclaim their role from the state.

Of course, Charlie understood that this was first and foremost a spiritual battle. In fact, in the last significant conversation I had with him, that was the first thing he pointed out. “The threat is demonic in its core,” he said, noting that the “unclean spirit” was simply taking “the form of the woke.”

The most important element of stopping the evil being unleashed against America and civilization, he said, is not physical. “First, it must be a spiritual transformation revolution,” Charlie explained, before jumping into the political and even personal components of the “right-wing revolution” he said was needed to “save the West.”

Charlie was correct, and I share his views on that issue 110 percent. Almost every talk I give, I remind people about what the Bible teaches on this. Flesh and blood people are not the enemy, as the Apostle Paul wrote in...

Wonder why his body wasn’t autopsied. An autopsy might help explain how his body managed to stop a .30-06 bullet.

Step 1. Abolish the Fed Department of Ed. End on Federal funding of Ed...and the strings attached.

Step 2. Some states will take path A, some path B, some path C. It is healthy for different states to take different paths.

Step 3. Technology, the internet, has change the education model. We do not know what model will be best in the future.
We should allow church related schools, corporation related schools, Clusters and associations.

Envision classes of varied sizes that all see the same lecture on the screen with discussions in each class led by discussion leaders.

Envision many other approaches. One size may not fit all.

If there was no autopsy, it is without a doubt because there is a cover-up. I don’t trust a US govt headed by Trump, anymore than that of Obama. The same goes for any politician or minion. If Charlie Kirk were named Pete anyGrunt, there would have already been an autopsy, and the results would have been released before he reached the mortuary, and was embalmed, let alone after he was interred.

Give parents a tax credit to “group fund” a teacher who is answerable to only parents. Once a year, test the students to prove the teacher is effective. 20 children per teacher sounds about right, so the tax credit could be a little as $4,000 a child.

The Teacher could then live in her home/school tax free, earning $80K. Parents can provide materials. The Teacher can get with a mortgage of 0% as long as the children are learning, and the parents are happy. Build it and people will flock to it. Parents control the Teacher by controlling her student numbers. Since the Teacher pays no taxes, she can figure out her own retirement.

It was explained somewhere that the bullet hit his spine, embedded, then stopped.

Good plan. We need variety. Christian school. home school.
Corporation school. Affinity group school. Many with mixed use of internet education.
