Violence Should Be the Line in the Sand
New American Prophet ^ | Sept 25, 2025 | Jerry Newcombe

Posted on 09/25/2025 7:22:47 AM PDT by Rev M. Bresciani

If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the debate. The assassination of Charlie Kirk two weeks ago was a case in point. They couldn’t defeat him at debate, so they killed him.

Charlie’s slogan, as seen on the white tent he was in when he was shot, says it all, “Prove me wrong.” Anybody who may claim he was “proved wrong” by being shot subscribes to the view that might makes right.

I once read about an English tourist visiting China about a 100 years ago recounts how two laborers were having a heated argument in the street. After watching and listening for several minutes, the tourist remarked that he expected the two men would begin fighting any moment but his guide replied, “I doubt it, you see, the man who strikes first admits he’s lost the argument.”

Reformer Martin Luther said: “I will preach, speak, write the truth, but will force it on no one, for faith must be accepted willingly, and without compulsion.” Also, he said about those who light the wooden sticks to burn heretics at the stake: “If fire is the right cure for heresy, then the [stick]-burners are the most learned doctors on earth; no need we study anymore; he that has brute force on his side may burn his adversary at the stake.”

“If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the debate. “

If one side responds with violence, they never intended to ‘debate’ in the first place. Their only intention is to destroy you and your ideas..............

If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the debate.

Does this apply to war or terrorism? Because that's what we have.

We’re not having a debate.

it used to be that one lost the debate when one called their opponent “Hitler” ... apparently though, the new standard for losing the debate is when one literally murders their opponent ...

If you’re willing to debate, then you must have a good rationale for doing so. The Left is very often unwilling to debate, however. But they still believe they are right because of how they feel, not what they think.

That's what strikes me. The dirty little coward didn't have the guts to stand 10 feet away and debate him, so he got back 100 yards and killed him with a rifle. And in the process of killing the "fascist", he committed the ultimate act of fascism: to kill your political opponent.

The sand is controlled by New York City. What good is a line?

You can always tell which leftists tacitly or secretly agree with the violence when the basically apologize or equivocate for the offender and imply that the victim is somehow guilty or deserving.

The lefties will do a dance with words, but they definitely will refuse to condemn the violence without offering qualifiers.

Of course, they will be offended when the violence is against one of them, or one of the groups under their tent.

It started with feminists in the 70’s. I debated many of them and their favorite retort once they’d lost was ‘You’re a man, you don’t understand.’ Once I heard that I knew I had won. They’d usually utter that and the just walk away, feeling very smug. They didn’t realize they had lost because they ended the discussion with their flippant dismissal. Today I’d be being shouted down by three or four ugly white girls and two or three of their fruity soy boys. There would be no debate, just hate.

Socialists use violence, so they won’t agree. Ends justify the means. Most are godless so they dont believe in eternal consequences, they believe their only shot to do things is here and now, and theyget desperate when they can’t sucker enough people to agree. More and more people are turned off by how radical nuts they are so they start resorting to this stuff. But violence is always a tool/tactic/strategy for libsocs.

That’s right. I tried to debate several angry yellow jackets just a few days ago. All I did was happen to get close to them. They may have lost the debate, but they stung the crap out of me... So, I waited patiently until they returned to the nest late that evening. I had gasoline. I’m not sure why this thread reminded me of that incident.

Different that what you are comparing it to.

When you dress like a streetwalker dont be surprised people want to treat you like that. That doesnt excuse rape but when you dress slutty and are in public at a meat market deliberately displaying the goods, getting hammered, its sh1tty personal choices, there is personal responsibility and accountability.

Any guy who gets injured doing jackass stupid stuff, we say bad choices, his own fault.

I’ll wager that a few of these bright but misguided leftist college kids, who were respectful to Charlie, will be the few who process the shock of this loss. Too many never had parents capable of guiding them or engaging. Charlie did this. Many are likely privately mourning his loss. Unlike the rest of the brainless sociopaths, they’ll eventually be conservatives

No, the intolerance for violence is the line in the sand.

Colleges train students *not* to debate or think critically. When students encounter wrongthink, you often hear them repeat the slogan “do not engage.” They have a religious dogma against thinking.

Well said and exactly right, which is why there needs to be greater accountability and consequences for violence.

Unfortunately, our excessive forbearance and soft legal system only invite more of the same.

It’s just like 9/11 deja vu.

They were at war with us, but we weren’t at war with them, then look what happened.

Will it take a domestic political 9/11 to wake the Republicans up?...................
