Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were treated to all the pomp and pageantry during their unprecedented second state visit to the UK, and one fashion statement was not to everyone’s liking.

I am really happy that you posted a story about Melania’s trip, BUT this article is awful.
The articles I read, particularly one that quoted Dr Naomi Braithwaite, associate professor in fashion and material culture at Nottingham Trent University, were extremely complementary of here.
These fashion idiots in the article you posted missed all the subtle and not to subtle dressing signs that Melania threw out there.
1. Wide brim hat that covers the eyes, and color matches her husband’s. The attention whould be on him, not me. So, she hides the eyes.
2. Burberry Trench
3. Christian Dior

The silhouette is rarely seen in royal settings. Dr Braithwaite called it “quite unusual at a royal event […] but she looked wonderfully stylish.”
The dress balanced glamour and discretion: not ostentatious, not overly revealing, but unmistakably elegant. “It’s slightly subverting the expectation in a royal setting – but doing it in a Melania way,” says Dr Braithwaite.
5. During a trip to the Royal Library at Windsor Castle on day two of the state visit, Trump wore a caramel leather suit by French designer Louis Vuitton.
Her design choices appear to be saying: I can do regal without being royal.
Melania can smile for hours.
Here she looks as pleased as she was in the presence of the Bidens at PDJT’s second inauguration.
Both the Bidens and Brit MI-5 attempted to imprison her husband where he was expected to die.
Political blinders aside, all of FLOTUS’ other looks on the UK trip were widely praised by fashion critics, and this was the only polarizing or “risky” choice. Yet it’s precisely this one that is the most signature “Melania” given the context. :)

No political blunders, but stylish choices to match the particular occasion.

These are the same people who described Big Mike as “beautiful” and always raved about what she wore even though everybody could see her “wide load” fat ass and sometimes “her” package.
Yes all the leading lady guests were lovely, but I like the playful unconventional-ness of things like Melania’s Inauguration Day hat, etc...
I just remember when Michelle Obama was first lady and anything that cow would wear the media gushed over.
And there was a website devoted to daily posts with pictures of what she was wearing. I just visited to see what crazy getup she had on each day.

Melania is usually picture perfect, but I’m not a fan of yellow on people with fair skin. Kind of washes them out IMHO. Blues and greens really favor her.
