In their first home game since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the Buffalo Bills honored the murdered far-right political commentator.
Prior to kickoff of their game on Thursday Night Football, the Bills posted a graphic with his name and his birth and death dates while also cycling through images of the TurningPoint USA founder and his family.
Somber music played out as reporters on the ground noted that a few people stood for the display.

I think if the home team had the flag at half-staff it was appropriate enough.
In some cases like in my region the NFL some of the teams did nothing at all, thought they were the worst since I was a child and they proved it again. Perennial losers across the board.

When an article begins with Charlie “far-right”, I stop reading.
All I know is that NYS taxpayers are on the hook for around $850 million for that new stadium.
If the NFL hadn’t already been long dead to me, that would have done it.

I grew up in a small town near Buffalo. My family and friends that are still there seem to be split between reliable conservatives and thoughtless liberals.

I was there - at the game last night. The Buffalo Bills organization was very respectful, and yes, people did stand.
I can’t speak for the rest of the league, but the Bills also honor a local military person at EVERY game.
Of course, it’s easy to pick your own narrative when you have 68,000 people to choose from.
It also burns my butt on FR that every time an NFL story is posted, someone has to intimate that they care nothing about the NFL...
... then why even click on the article in the first place?

What’s funny is that in Britain The Daily Mail is considered to be “Right Wing”.
