Rand Paul's PENNY PLAN Budget Rejected 36-62 (Needed 51 Votes)
U.S. Congress ^ | Sep 16 | Sen. Rand Paul / Congressional Record

Posted on 09/16/2025 9:48:40 PM PDT by RandFan

@SenRandPaul

Today, I introduced the only real plan to balance the budget. Neither Republicans nor Democrats bothered to offer one. Five months ago, they claimed spending would be $6 trillion—now it’s already blown past $6.6 trillion.

Government incompetence, on full display.

Srill no mention of ending the use of baseline budgeting.

Note to Sen. Paul,: Talk is cheap.

It’s not incompetence. They simply don’t care.....

Oh I believe they do care, but not about us. Uniparty being the uniparty. Cant pass anything that would shine a positive light on President Trump.

“It’s not incompetence. They simply don’t care.”

Reason for term limits.

For over 50 years “timing” has always been an excuse for not reigning in spending. The higher the debt level, the shriller louder the voices that we can’t take action now, we must do so in the future. It will always be that way until economic forces bring the inevitable default by the federal government.

When the day of reckoning occurs you will be amazed how quickly the budget can be balanced. The draconian spending reductions that occur with a corporate or household bankruptcy, when lenders cut off the money flow, are no different with a nation. The military will come home from overseas and be disbanded. All grants of federal money to the states, NGO’s, and foreign aid will end. Entire departments will be wiped out and the remaining federal employees will see their pensions terminated and their wages slashed. SNAP cards will no longer be replenished.

The bureaucrats lucky enough to keep a government job will be happy with their fate, because at least they will have jobs. Unlike the millions of working class citizens who today live on the edge and who will end up jobless and on the street begging, dumpster diving, and dying of starvation. Armed gangs will strip homes and businesses of assets, and control urban areas, with no fear of police intervention. The justice system will completely break down as the nation descends into chaos, abject poverty, and mob rule.

Don’t say it can’t happen here.

Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan was a great idea
