Somebody thought about the ubiquity of digital cameras, and concocted a counter-measure.
Interesting.
People get addicted to quick, easy money. They make mistakes. I predict this fellow will be caught, eventually.

I’ve heard that a lot of people with car loans are underwater on their debt. They may resort to extreme measures.

The Orange County Sheriff’s office said the Paddlefish, a restaurant that looks like a paddlewheel boat Maybe he thought the restaurant was on the water and that he could swim to get away?

He then took between $10,000 and $20,000 and was gone within two minutes, putting on the scuba gear and jumping back into the water.

For this, he needs a place to exit the water, where it is not under surveillance.
It has to be fairly close. Even strong swimmers are limited to a couple of miles in scuba gear.
Preferably, it would be a boat, so he could then move many miles from the crime scene without being on camera. A houseboat on pontoons seems like one of the best options, but there are others.

It appears to be a small, manmade lake. I suspect he will be caught.
To: MarlonRando
Inside job would be correct.
He didn’t randomly swim into that restaurant, without knowing the money was there.

It is a pretty good sized lake, with multiple eaterways in and out. All surrounded by WDW property inside job.

He jumped into THAT water?? Points for bravery, if still alive.
To: Fireone
exactly. Who would know a fish restaurant had $20 grand lying in a particular spot.
