Actually, that’s not what he said at all. He’s a CIA former agent, explaining how psy-ops work in this context, as an experienced expert in psy-ops. The media shows abnormal people cackling evilly over Kirk’s murder, celebrating it. But your run-of-the-mill Democrat voter is not represented by that, anymore than the run-of-the mill Republican is represented by a tikki-torch-bearing skinhead in Charlotte (just as an example).
The depiction of the nut jobs as representative of an entire party, religion or ideology is a psy-op, designed to keep people at each others’ throats. And that’s not a “moral equivalency”. That’s the common denominator on both sides of the psy-op tactic, demonizing ordinary people with these distorted images, and thereby turning the normal people against each other.
