Conservative counter media began with Rush. Without Rush there is no Charlie Kirk. Charlie viewed Rush as an inspiration as did countless others who are the present day voice of modern conservatism. That's what Rush did.

Rush was an entertainer; Kirk was an activist.
Besides talking, what did Rush DO to fix things? (Dan’s Bake Sale and Operation Chaos don’t really count.)
Limbaugh was far more than just an entertainer.

That’s a good point regarding Limbaugh. I read one of his books when I was in my 20s. I credit him with turning me into a conservative, although it probably would have happened sooner or later anyway. Kirk was better though. Kirk helped us win the 2024 election.
The democrats and the press had other ideas.
