I am not entirely sure what Stone means by the word "professional" in this context. However, presumably he is suggesting that the shooter's motive was not ideological, but rather detached and financial, something like 'Another day, another job". IMHO, this is nonsense. A professional assassin would not likely place himself at risk by committing the act at a public event where so many witness are present. More likely, they would do it as the Ukrainians have done to their Russian victims, using a pistol at close range at an uncrowded venue where the lonely victim is most venerable and then casually walking away afterward. Even exploding scooters seem popular for this purpose.

However, there is considerable evidence of planning. For instance, although the shooter certainly did not intend to target the neck, his aim was good enough. This means he must have practiced at that range, once he explored the site beforehand and determined the distance. He must have spent some time at a 200 yd range sighting in the scope. That, and his prior visit to the rooftop to assure he knew the path there and away, cannot have gone unnoticed by someone.

I just listened to President Trump's speech about the death of Charlie Kirk. He stated that he would have go after all of those responsible for Kirk's death. Trump also mentioned the assassination attempts on his own life, and other leftist terrorist actions. It sounds that he will either get Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to crack down on the communist terror networks or they will find themselves on the street and replaced with more reliable leaders.

Roger Stone is about as unreliable as one can get. A professional hit? I doubt it.

I’ve never been to a Charlie Kirk event, but I’ve never had the sense that he moved in a security bubble. People like Charlie have never been targets. There would be 101 ways for a professional to get a lot closer and with a safer shot. And a real professional would probably make it look like an accident or a death from natural causes.

A risky long shot fired by a sniper at a crowded public venue, killing someone in a way that will make the victim a legend? Pros are smarter than that.
