I have belonged to a gun club with long outdoor ranges for many years. This has signs of being a professional hit. The guy left evidence meant to misdirect and he got away clean. Which group in this day and age has the most to lose if their $Billions in government funding is cut?

I think a pro would have cleaned up the scent rather than leaving the weapon and ammo on site. But if a professional hit, he may not be found, may already be out of the country. In any event, if the money can be followed, we may not be shocked to learn where it originated.

I've had guns since 1942, used guns in war from 1951-1953, and have grandchildren and great-grandchildren who have and shoot guns...

That is precisely why there is not a single doubt in my mind that this was well-organized shooting...

That depends on how you define "professional". I have no doubt this was an organized hit. My guess is that it was the Antifa/Zizia types who did this. The guy who took the actual shot didn't have to be a master sniper to pull this off, but you'd be surprised at how sophisticated Antifa has gotten with their tactics and training. After all, they have been at war with our society for decades, and have been perfecting their tactics in places like Portland for years, including an organized hit they did a few years ago on a Patriot Prayer guy in Portland.
