Ted Cruz Slams Tucker Carlson for Comments on Osama bin Laden, World War II
Algemeiner ^ | 9/9/2025 | Corey Walker

US Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) has repudiated popular right-wing podcaster Tucker Carlson for claiming he would like to share “condolences” with the family of Osama bin Laden, the late al Qaeda leader who organized the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

“Something is wrong with Tucker Carlson,” Cruz said during an episode of his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz” that was released on Monday.

Cruz was responding to Carlson, a controversial commentator and online provocateur, who said in a recent episode of his own podcast that he would have no problem expressing sympathy to the family of bin Laden following the arch-terrorist’s death.

Carlson was interviewing Shahed Ghoreishi, a former US State Department official who upset his superiors by offering condolences to the families of supposed journalists killed in Gaza, including the family of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif. Mounting evidence has revealed that al-Sharif may have operated as a political operative for Hamas prior to and during the Palestinian terrorist group’s ongoing war with Israel.

“Let me just say: I would be totally comfortable sharing condolences with Osama bin Laden’s family,” Carlson said in response. “I hate Osama bin Laden. On the other hand, if somebody dies, it’s OK to say, ‘I’m sorry’ to his family.

He then added, “I would say that to the family of an executed murderer in a prison. It doesn’t mean I support the murderer, but this is family. That’s OK. It’s called human decency.”

Ted doth muckrake wheras Carlson has said other things far more indicative of his being bought off by the Islamists. Never be 'the boy who cried wolf' because people will eventually tire of hearing it and ignore you.
That's when the wolf really strikes.

Tucker needs to put down the pipe, the one he is sharing with Candace Owens. But go ahead and blame Cruz for pointing out what everyone but you can see....apparently.

Osama’s father, a Yemeni immigrant to Saudi Arabia sired something like forty or more kids. Most turned out to be solid Saudi citizens, and the father who began as a money changer sired kids who, among other things, became construction magnates in Saudi Arabia. After Osama escaped house arrest in Saudi Arabia in 1990 none of his extended family followed him into exile in Pakistan, Sudan or Afghanistan. Only his sons followed their father. Ask Saudis and they will tell you that with the exception of Osama and his family, the Bin Laden are respected people. I can’t speak for Tucker Carlson, but perhaps that was what he meant.

Corey Walker doesn’t help by labelling Carlson as “right-wing.”

As for WWII, I would like to hear Carlson’s views directly rather than through multiple filters. For the moment, I wonder if we gave too much aid to Stalin.

Preventing the Holocaust was mentioned. If the New York Times had simply reported on the Holodomor, the Holocaust might never have happened.

Carlson covers topics in detail the media will not touch. He also has spoken about the censorship of Fox News while he worked there. He points out that Israel is trying to draw the US into wars in the Middle East.

“Corey Walker doesn’t help by labelling Carlson as “right-wing.”

Walker actually misrepresents who Carlson is. Before he had his stint with Fox, he also worked in political information passing with PBS, CNN, and much earlier was a writer for the neoconservatist rag the Weekly Standard in the 1990’s an invention of far leftist in the 1960’s.

He is a paid assassin commentator who works for who pays the most. I wouldn’t trust him on any issue as he spins everything including his lunch order.

Carlson has become a mouthpiece for Qatar. And Islam. He thinks Sharia Law is wonderful and we’d all be better off living under it!

Tucker can call himself a Christian, but he’s either bought off or totally screwed up in the head - and soul. The USA doesn’t need Sharia Law.

You would be in good company. George Patton thought the same thing.

His diary is in the National Archives and can be read online. I would pay particularly attention to Sept 1945. Some pretty eye opening stuff.

Something is wrong with Tucker Carlson…. Irrelevance. He’s taking the Howard Sperm approach to get attention so that he can make a few bucks.

Maybe someone should ask Ted why Qatar is our ally and why we've allowed it to harbor Hamas fugitives.

Those issues are far more important than his spat with Tucker as is the insidious agenda of the globalist elite that led to the war in Ukraine .

Tucker's got plenty of company on Team Qatar:

In February, Israeli Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara announced a criminal investigation into alleged undisclosed dealings between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office and the Qatari government. The investigation, led by the Shin Bet and the police’s Lahav 433 unit, focuses on serious allegations of contact with a foreign agent, bribery, fraud, breach of trust, and money laundering.

Among the suspects are Netanyahu’s communications advisor Yonatan Urich and his former security spokesperson Eli Feldstein. Both were arrested and questioned on suspicion of maintaining direct contact with Qatari representatives via American lobbyist Jay Footlik. Investigators allege that Netanyahu’s aides promoted pro-Qatar media narratives while concealing the identity of the financiers and the extent of their involvement. Similar to the findings in the U.S., the Israeli investigation has uncovered a consistent pattern: funding narratives, inserting favorable messaging, and quietly deploying unofficial agents to influence public discourse in a Western democracy.

Tucker reminds me of the SNL skit with Buck Henry playing a talk show host who can’t get anyone to call in, so he starts saying more and more outrageous things to try to get people to call in.

Something has always been wrong with Carlson. I’ve never understood his attraction to so many here.
