What a bunch of pussies western civilization has become. Sad. Pathetic. Unworthy of most who have gone before.
It was hardly anything. There have been much worse. I lost AC blower, Heater controller and Dishwasher last month. I heard one rumble. very funny.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), the odds of being struck by lightning in a given year are about 1 in 1.2 million. Your lifetime odds (estimated as an 80-year span) are about 1 in 15,300.
I am curious if a professional athlete in any sport, anywhere in the world, has ever been struck by lightning during a game.
Which is better? Being brave, and having fans and/or athletes fried by lightning, or using strict safety rules due to the heavy lightning attractive use of steel in the stadium?
UK Daily Mail is trying to foment anger over prudent safety precautions, IMO.
If a fan was hit by lightning, they would be entitled to a major, major cash award. Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe would be licking their chops.
has anyone ever been struck by lightning in a stadium. Isn’t it a natural lighting rod protecting people. And if not why not. You have flag poles everywhere. I assume they are connected to grounds. So people are safer in the stands.
Why? A nice sizzling lightning strike would probably bring some life to the game.

One has to be an idiot to be outside in a lightning storm. Even inside is dangerous. My childhood friend’s mother was hit by lighting twice when she was washing dishes. When she told me that, I looked at her aghast that an adult was that careless.
Major tornado strike on packed sports stadium. One of those things that is when, not if. You canโt take all risk away
My kind of football game, Never liked that sport.
They took over time slot of PGร
golf after FedEx cup last weekend. Love golf, only, sport I watch.
I clicked to see if it was because of a riot on the field in continuation of the thuggery at the outset of the game. Otherwise, I couldn’t possibly care less.
At some point in some game of the thug meat of the NFL I expect a riot to break out on the field that moves tot he stands.
Look up "The Hugo Bowl."
I will.. NFL pussies!
I guess the Steve miller band did the right thing cancelling all remaining gigs for 2025 in case it rained or some other climate change cats-ass-trophy might/could happen somewhere.
The NCAA has had a similar rule for decades, but, of course, our resident experts always know everything about nothing.
I wasn’t there, but I recall a lightning delay in the UF-GA Tech game in 1980.
No longer do we have contests.
We have Sports Entertainment exhibitions to attract women eyeballs.
It was a wise decision. No, it was NOT wimpy
