Women's health expert calls out Champion's pants in Target for vulgar design... do YOU see the issue?

As someone working in women's health, Dr. Marcy Crouch thought she had seen it all - until she discovered a pair of pants from Target.

The physical therapist recently took to TikTok to slam the sweatpants after she noticed they had an unflattering design.

In the video, Dr. Crouch help up the light tan pants, which came from a collaboration between Champion and Target, explaining that her friend had purchased them from the girls' section of the chain.

The pants had a thick, elastic waistband with pleats at the front - including one right in the middle - with a slight flare at the bottom.

After trying the pants on, Dr. Crouch stood back from the camera and showed off the issue - the pleat in the middle stretched out in a strange way and looked like women's genitals.

'When I’m talking to you, this is what you see,' she said, before sharing a message to Target: 'Do better.'

She captioned the clip, 'Someone made the decision to make this, and then multiple people in multiple meetings approved it.'

Reviews on the Target website showed a similar problem, with many people sharing pictures showing the pleats sitting in a similar way to Dr. Crouch's.

I suspect it may simply be a case of the people who designed it not being shaped the same as their customers. I’m perfectly serious - it’s tough enough for a Western man to purchase clothing in Asia (believe me, I know), especially trousers (you look like you’re about to go wading in high water). For women it’s a real challenge.

As a rule no. We can all snicker for now but ridiculous sexualization of clothing like this is not helpful to anyone.

Nasty pants. That one looks nothing like the one pictured to try and say others are like it.
Dr Crotch has nasty pants. A pleat is not needed there. 😆

That is like making an open hole, no zipper, in the crotch of men’s pants.

if unflattering clothing was a health issue, most of us would already be at death’s doorstep ...

I've always thought fashion designers were always a little off. I made the mistake of going to look. Why would such a designer design simple pants and think everyone wants to look at camel-toes so often? I'm no prude and love the shape of women, but this obscene look is beyond the pale.

There is a reason most American women prefer men in "board shorts" rather than "speedos".

I think that the problem is just that she is trying to squeeze into pants that are 17 sizes too small for her. The seams are all stretched, distorting the look. I think that the largest size available is only XXXXXL. She needs to see Omar, the Tent Maker for her wardrobe needs.

That looks like the adult version of what little kids wear in China so they can squat on a curb or a department store floor (I’ve seen it) and pee and crap anywhere.

Worst fashion I’ve seen since high leg swimwear. (Try finding one that isn’t.) IMO the swimwear is worse.
It wouldn’t have made a bad skirt, though.

No, I don't see the problem.

These people don't have enough to do. Maybe they could do some volunteer work or take up a project, maybe stamp collecting.

I'm guessing the "problem" is a deliberate design feature.

Solution: Do not buy that garbage. Better yet, do not shop at Target.

Problem solved.
