Practically no one cares about the NFL anymore except those millions who are gambling on football.
I cannot sit through a whole game anymore, I just watch the highlights.
The ratings say otherwise. Pre-season NFL ratings are better than championship games for other sports. The Hall of Fame game, which isn’t even a pre-season game because it’s not part of the 3 game count, got 6.9 million viewers.
I wonder if some of that is the losing of a team identity. I remember The Cinci reds of the mid 70's, you could name the Great 8. Now it's hard as the players change out so often.
That’s a big part of it. Players used to be a part of the community, that the fans could relate to.
Now people just root for the laundry.
these 2 menz
It might be safer to replace the tush push with the French Mistake.
Making it a touchback and coming back to the 35 isn’t going to make people run more. The kick off is part of football and screwing with it is making the game even more boring.
That’s not about making the people run more. That’s about getting the kicker to not kick in the endzone. If they catch it in the field they WILL run, or get the ball at the 5.
Kick offs out of the endzone are boring. Kick, kneel, whistle, commercial. And that ain’t football. Kick run, maybe a big run, maybe a TD run, maybe a fumble. That’s football.
That’s why I like doing the CFL rule, you only get the point if the kick is returnable.
That’s a good plan. I’m confused in this box thing for why the endzone isn’t just out of bounds. If you kick it short of the zone it’s ball at 40 or where it lands which sucks worse for the kicking team. Blow it out the side, 40 or where the ref thinks it crossed the line. Endzone is 30?! Now 35?! Is it not just as out of bounds as short? Whatever. If I was a betting guy I’d bet next year they’ll move it to the 40.
“Look at that little monkey run!”
