A man was found dead in a “pool of blood” at the Burning Man festival Saturday night – just as a massive human-shaped wooden effigy was being torched in the Nevada desert, according to authorities.
The body was discovered around 9 p.m. when a festival goer flagged down a sheriff’s deputy and reported seeing “a male subject lying in a pool of blood,” the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Sunday.
Authorities are now investigating the death as a homicide.
The grisly scene was uncovered while the “Man,” a towering human-shaped wooden sculpture at the center of the festival grounds in Black Rock City was set on fire, the sheriff’s office said.

A few years ago there was a guy who immolated himself at the burn. Witnesses said he just ran into the flames without hesitation...
Interestingly Nicole Shanahan, who used to be a Burner but now a born-again Christian, wrote an essay about how the festival is more representative of demonic temptation than spiritual community.
First the pagan sacrifice of burning a statue of a man.
Then the human sacrifice of brutally murdering an actual man.
All part of a sick, demonic gathering for self indulgent leftists.

Reminds me of the 2016 Gotthard Base Tunnel opening ceremony in Switzerland.....that looked a whole lot like a demonic ritual as well.

I suspect that this man didn’t understand the MEANING of Burning Man.
Given the mess at the BM last year, methinks it would be a good place to avoid this year. Clearly, that the case for at least one attendee.

A lot of them are now in Reno planning how to get home.
Last year it was a torrential rain storm and now this......you’d think some of these people would begin to realize attending is not the best of ideas.

There are so many passages in scripture that this satanic event reminds me of.... but I recently stumbled upon Isaiah 44 and this whole chapter talks about ‘burning man’ as written by God and what he thinks of it.
That event is sounding like The Wicker Man.
My impression is that Burning Man has suffered severe brain drain and is a shell of its former self. It used to have a strong tech nerd presence that elevated it above the standard hippy-dipster love fest. Ten years or so ago there was some truly innovative and well designed techno-psychedelia happening there. Now it just looks lazy and dumb.
Then again, I’m just basing this on videos I’ve seen. Does anyone know anyone who’s attended these things and has an inside scoop on the state of Burning Man these days?
Or any and all DNC meetings
