Recently resigned CDC official sees only ‘harm coming’ from ‘ideologic’ MAHA agenda

Demetre Daskalakis, the former director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC, who resigned on Wednesday, warned of the forthcoming “ideologic direction” of public health in an interview with Martha Raddatz on ABC’s This Week.

“From my vantage point, as a doctor who’s taken the Hippocratic oath, I only see harm coming,” Daskalakis told Raddatz. “I may be wrong, but based on what I’m seeing, based on what I’ve heard with the new members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, or ACIP, they’re really moving in an ideologic direction where they want to see the undoing of vaccination.”

Daskalakis’s resignation comes as a reported clash over vaccine policy and Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” vision led to the firing of former CDC Director Susan Monarez and the subsequent resignation of four high-ranking officials, including Daskalakis. He wrote in his resignation letter that Kennedy and his staff’s views on public health impeded his ability to continue successfully in his role.

“I am unable to serve in an environment that treats CDC as a tool to generate policies and materials that do not reflect scientific reality and are designed to hurt rather than to improve the public’s health,” Daskalakis wrote in his resignation letter.

In June, Kennedy removed all former members of the ACIP from their roles on the committee and replaced them with seven new appointees. Thirteen out of 17 of the vaccination safety committee members were appointed by former President Joe Biden.

He told Raddatz that much of the conflict came over Kennedy’s recently approved restrictions on the COVID-19 vaccination. The Food and...

This is Dr. Monkeypox who reminded us that "One man's high risk behavior is another man's spectacular weekend" and wanted the Biden Administration to continue "spreading joy" during the Monkeypox outbreak.

I'm mostly curious why he kept his job until just a few days ago and wasn't immediately fired on January 20th.

“”Harm? To who?””

Not to who. To what. Big Pharma, for one.

So what sort of guy is named Demetre, i.e., “Earth Mother” (not to be confused with “Animal Motha” from FMJ)? Well, a gay health HIV/AIDS activist. But his opponents are driven only by ideology, not him...oh, noooo.

The Left’s concept of mass mandtory vaccination for every conceivable woe is based on ideology of collectivism: your children are belong to us; individuals must not be allowed to choose to be unvaccinated; “herd immunity” only works if most of the herd is vaccinated. Even if a vac is sure to have destructive effects on a “small” percentage of the herd, too bad — the overall herd is what matters.

An individual making decisions about their own health and their children’s is indeed based on ideology: the mindset that individuals must be free to run their own lives and control their own bodies; that people are not just components of a herd to be wrangled by self-appointed elites; that “science” requires testing ideas and ditching those that don’t work, before poisoning the population with ills that show up years later. Right now, people like Demetre push mass vaccinations for children without knowing the long term effects on child brain development, the interaction of many vaccines dumped into kids at once, contaminants, etc.

The tactical conceit that “my ideas are science” but “your ideas are ideology” is a disgusting display of egomania. No sale.

What we need to do is to step back and look at the data...what do we really know about the vaccinations schemes? Which ones are truly beneficial and which ones are harmful. What goes on with the immune systems? Are many vaxes okay but need to be scheduled in a different way so that they aren’t stacked upon each other in a given child’s years of 1 thru 12?

The medical profession has lost the trust of so many people and brow beating them for their mistrust just drives more of them away!

It doesn’t help that the news is full of “researchesr” who were caught falsifying data to make questionable results fit the big Pharma’s profit marginas and the political socio narratives that color what many call “settled science”!

His sexual proclivities make his judgement highly suspect. Good riddance. Can’t we have normal people making policy?

The left is upset with Trump because he’s firing the freaks and replacing them with normal people.

“Beginning in the 1970s, the dosages for pertussis and other diseases were weakened (meaning they contained less bacterium). This was done for safety reasons according to the CDC. The practice of administering several booster shots throughout a child’s life became common practice from about the mid-1970s onwards.”

in 1961, those recommendations looked like this:

– DTP. This was one of the first combination vaccines and included diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (aka whooping cough). Eventually, as immunization dosing amounts were tweaked, a series of 3-4 booster shots were recommended (see 1970s).

– Poliomyelitis (polio). The polio vaccine was developed in the 1950s and was on the vaccination schedule in the 1960s as a single shot (a different version of the polio vaccine is still offered today). It is estimated that approximately 100 million individuals received the polio vaccine between the late 1950s and early 1960s.

– Smallpox. Smallpox outbreaks were dangerous in previous years, but this disease wasn’t as much of a concern in the 1960s. Cases still appeared, however, especially outside of the United States, so a single shot smallpox vaccine was recommended during this decade. According to the World Health Organization, the last known case of smallpox was reported in 1977.

“pertussis whooping cough is a bacterial infection that can be very serious for young infants. Both whole cell pertussis vaccine in DPT shots, which were replaced in 1996 in the U.S. by acellular pertussis vaccine in DTaP shots, only provide temporary immunity and current pertussis vaccines do not contain B. pertussis strains that have evolved to evade the vaccines and are widely circulating today.”

[I can’t verify that statement is still valid. My biggest objection to the vaccine programs is that makers are relying on herd immunity to make up for failure to update their products.]

“According to the CDC, between 2004 and 2018, the influenza vaccine was less than 50 percent effective preventing circulating strains of influenza for 10 out of 14 flu seasons. 64 In three flu seasons, the influenza vaccine was only between 10 and 21 percent effective.”

“During the past 15 years, there have been mumps outbreaks in the U.S. and other countries in fully vaccinated populations that have received two doses of mumps containing (MMR) vaccines.”

I guess this guy was so blind to his bias that he thought everything that the CDC did during the COVID era was totally based on science, like claiming that suddenly flimsy paper masks would stop an airborne virus, or that the government’s social distancing schemes were working when the data showed they weren’t.
