What Is Tikkun Olam?
Chabad.org ^ | none given | Tzvi Freeman

Tikkun Olam (תיקון עולם): In Jewish teachings, any activity that improves the world, bringing it closer to the harmonious state for which it was created.

Tikkun olam implies that while the world is innately good, its Creator purposely left room for us to improve upon His work.

All human activities are opportunities to fulfill this mission, and every human being can be involved in tikkun olam—child or adult, student or entrepreneur, industrialist or artist, caregiver or salesperson, political activist or environmentalist, or just another one of us struggling to keep afloat.

Smells like Democrat Party focus-group pre-prepared psy-war against the American public. It was in the can and ready to go. Just like the “prayer stinks” talking points were.

I used to stock the periodicals at the Regenstein Library at the University of Chicago. I came upon a low production value publication called Tikkun. I figured it was some African or American Indian name. The magazine was off the left edge of the earth.

That didn't surprise me. Most of the journals were. Yes, we stocked National Review, First Things, Human Events and Commentary. But a LOT of low circulation Commie, left-race oriented, Democrat and Deep State/Establishment publications dominated. The cheap newprint commie papers like Pravda, Izvestia and Granma were interesting, and worth having around, but there was no attempt at balance.

“They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more,” is from Isaiah 2:4, and it is also found in Micah 4:3 and Joel 3:10. It describes a FUTURE VISION of global peace and the cessation of warfare, where weapons of conflict are transformed into tools for agriculture and cultivation, indicating a universal shift from hostility to harmony under God’s ultimate judgment and rule.

Bringing the context of the old prophecy to this present day I would probably not agree that this is the time/era that Isaiah was prophesizing about. It could be in the future, it probably will be in the future, perhaps even in a post Apocryphal/ catastrophic world. There is no way of knowing. To suggest that now is the time for some kind of weapons and self defense control is a ludicrous proposition fraught with victimhood and the inability to defend oneself against physical evil.

Frey “might” have good intentions, but proposing that people expose themselves to physical harm via disarmament could be construed as evil intent. Perhaps this satanic minion doesn’t understand the legion within himself.

---- "The AP used the jewish religious phrase to describe describe Minneapolis Mayor Frey reaction to the school shooting calling for gun control."

The Wiki on him mentions attending a Reform congregation at the very bottom of that page, alongside the fact he is divorced and remarried. What is FAR more interesting to me is to look at the middle of the page, and election results.

It looks as if the election stats. The Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) seems to have a lock on the city, all the while flooding elections with multiple same-party candidates recently.

Look at the Republican percentage. The Republican Party is barely a footnote.

SO while the AP many want to mention Frey is a Reform Jew, what is certain is that he is an ORTHODOX Leftist.

I am not being anti-jewish.

You better not be. Or I'm going to report you to GIDEON — the AI-powered early warning system Israel built for U.S. law enforcement to detect lone-wolf threats in real time.

We got our eyes on you. Don't even think about that. Although that's coming next.

THat being said tikkun Olan has been corrupted (or has it?) by leftist Jews who use it to destroy western civilization especially through $upport of immigration policies that have ruined every country with africans indians and muslims. Then there's marxism, and then hollywood and porn and...

https://aish.com/what-does-tikkun-olam-really-mean/

...“Therefore we put our hope in you, God, that we may soon see your mighty splendor, to remove gillulim from the earth, and false gods to be utterly cut off, to fix the world (לתקן עולם) through God’s sovereignty (the kingdom of God).”

In particular, the prayer is a plea for the day when God will:

Show His “mighty splendor,” which is a kabbalistic way of saying that in the future, things like suffering and the long Jewish exile will finally make sense

Remove gillulim—the word literally means “manure” —and means that God will rid the world of empty idols, falsehood and evil

Cut off “false gods,” which, in Hebrew, is a reference to the “strange gods within you,” and means that in the future, God will nullify the ego

In other words, Tikkun Olam happens on that day when the world makes sense, evil is eradicated, and the ego is nullified. On that day, God will fix the world with the power of His sovereignty...

Tikkun Olam is a fine and noble concept, teaching.
There is a problem, though.
The problem is not Tikkun Olam.
The problem is how some people misunderstand it.
Or rather, they misuse it (usually unintentially but still...) to “justify” their political “activism” — usually leftist.
Tikun Olam is mostly about your morals, how you treat other people in your daily life. It is not meant to be a convenient excuse for anybody’s coercive politics. Whether communist, socialist, “progressive,” or anything else. All of these political movements have beautiful-sounding, lofty goals statements. And they are all highly coercive, (mis-) using the power of the armed state against the liberty of the individual. There is nothing in Tikkun Olam that teaches a person to knowingly or naively “believe” in (what have always proven to be) the false or unattainable goals statements of the far left. And, there is nothing in Tikkun Olam that even attempts to justify the use of state power against the people and their individual liberty.

Tikkun Olam as a teacher for legitimate charity, volunteer work for proper, noble purposes, and especially helping others with life’s various vissisitudes and needs -— these are far closer to the meaning of Tikkun Olam.

It’s part of the creed

All of which for the secular which the overwhelming bulk part of this focus on planet earth and thus mortal life

As a southern Baptist that’s just not our focus beyond duty and practicality

It is a lie. Man CAN’T protect the World, only YESHUA. Incomes from the faulse man-made Rabinical Judaism that was created at Yavneh in 70 AD.

The Clintons (particularly Hillary) used this concept to promote “The Politics of Meaning” in the 1990s, based on ideas from their friend Michael Lerner who edited the journal Tikkun at the time.
