I recently read that the subway sandwich thrower was let off with a slap on the wrist.

Why do we have to continue saying 'allegedly' when speaking of this incident?

Because there are judges who might humor vexatious litigants filing nuisance lawsuits. Consider it in the same ceremonial etiquette along the lines of "The Honorable Senator Ted Kennedy".

If they’re vested they usually keep benefits.

The TSP (government version of 401k) can either remain there or be moved out but matching funds (1%) stop.

At 12:18 p.m. the same day, Baxter was observed on DOJ security cameras putting up her middle finger toward the National Guard and saying, “F–k you!”

I was hoping it was going to say something like, "At 4:15 p.m., after review of the security video, she was escorted out of the building and informed that her employment had been terminated. But apparently, it was a week later.

“At least. I honestly don’t know how we can co-exist in the same nation as these people.”

We can’t. And that’s how the powers that be want it.

“apparently, it was a week later.”

That sounds about right to me.

The terminations I saw took that long for HRO to get all the paperwork together.

Too many lawyers waiting to strike. I’m wondering, is it that he “allegedly threw” it, or was it an “alleged salami” sandwich?

Well, he did lose his cushy government job at the DOJ.

I was “terminated” by DCAA about 10 years ago. Horribly run agency, never had encountered an agency with a preponderance of divorced women. I got to the point where I didn’t care anymore. I retired shortly after.

It was a marked contrast from my 4+ years with the FDIC, where I earned multiple promotions and awards. During my first ten months I went from a GS-7 to GS-13. I was a contract hire during the bank crisis. It was a great agency to work at when Sheila Bair was the director.

Because of the nature of the work my facility did, I was fortunate to work around many ex military.

A level of discipline came with that workforce.....of course, there were a certain amount of dei hires as well that we all had to accomplish the mission in spite of.

Looking back now, dei was in the federal government long before it had a name. 😏

I currently am a contractor for a company that does mostly DoD work. We probably have the same type of stories.

“We probably have the same type of stories”

If by same stories you mean grown people acting like 8 year olds and getting away with things they probably should be fired and or put in jail for, then yeah. 😏

Why do we have to continue saying ‘allegedly’

= = =

Because the letters -a-, -l-, -e-, -g-, -d-, -y- have been feeling disrespected and want more recognition.
