According to a military and security analyst, Russia's summer offensive in Ukraine has utterly collapsed. Julian Röpcke, a journalist for the German news outlet Bild, has been closely following the war since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
In a recent column, he outlined four primary reasons why he believes Putin's summer campaign in Ukraine has crumbled. One of Russia's main objectives in the east was to capture the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region - a crucial logistical hub for Ukraine's army.
Despite positioning troops at the city's gates since January, Röpcke contends that all attempts to storm it or sever its supply have been unsuccessful so far.
Earlier in August, several hundred Russian saboteurs managed to infiltrate Pokrovsk, sparking fears of a significant breakthrough for the Kremlin's forces.
However, within three weeks, all the Russians in Pokrovsk had either been killed or captured, with a Ukrainian officer telling BILD: "We are holding the city and have prepared a few surprises for the Russians. The military situation is better than it appears on maps."
After Ukraine's invasion of Kursk and subsequent withdrawal in March, Putin instructed his army to establish a 600-kilometer "buffer zone" within the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
Yet, Röpcke points out that Moscow currently controls less than 70 kilometers along the Ukraine - Russia border. "Here, too, Putin's military failed completely," he penned. The military analyst has described Russia's situation in southern Ukraine as "even more devastating" noting that despite the annexation in 2022, the front lines in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson have remained largely unchanged.

NATO is being run out of Ukraine. Putin told Trump that none of NATO will remain after the war. It appears that two weeks were provided to Ukraine and NATO to relocate their operations out of Ukraine. Russia went after NATO inside Ukraine. This is important because it marks a point in the conflict where Russia first tells the primary stakeholder in Ukraine that it will not accept NATO in Ukraine.
NATO built the defensive lines and fortifications.
NATO armed and trained the AFU.
NATO directed the battlefield and was in charge of tactics.
The Pentagon (NOT Ukraine, Zelinski) did make all requests to the “President” either Trump or Biden for Project Ukraine. Remember how we were told Zelinski came with the list of things he wanted - remember when the NYT told us/US_A that the Pentagon was the one in fact making all arms requests....
NATO is on the ground in the form various contingents. The British are intent on holding on to Odessa. The French are there too. These forces are routinely destroyed or attacked.
It has been two weeks. Now the Russian’s are removing the spys from the West and their places of work inside Ukraine. That Russia is willing to call a spade a spade, or a spy a spy, and destroy their nest is essential diplomatic/war turn of direction. This means that if the EU refuses to recognize Russia then Russia refuses to recognize the EUs legimaticy in Ukriane.
It will not be long before the EU countries start to talk with Russia. This is the first time Russia has broke diplomatic relations with the EU or NATO. They have strong ties to Trump. The destruction of the so called EU and NATO offices inside Ukraine mark a point that Russia will not accept NATO in any form inside Ukriane.

After over 3 years and big, bad Putin hasn’t been able to take Ukraine. Crimea is a “ghost town”, The Black Sea lost at least 23 Russian ships. Have you noticed how easy it is for drones to attack anything in Russia that they wish?
