Parts of U.S. Highway 1 in Martin County were shut down Thursday morning due to what officials are calling an "unsafe U-turn."
A tractor-trailer became stalled at Southeast Osprey Street in Hobe Sound after making the turn. It's carrying at least five vehicles.
lanes are shut down. In a social media post, the Martin County Sheriff's Office said to expect delays in the area.
The driver was cited for making an unsafe U-turn.

I’ve seen this on Arizona freeways. Stalled and trying to maneuver the doggone thing. Everyone else waiting...waiting. Stupid.
There was a story sometime back here of a truck with a high load that tried to go through a “Texas Turnaround,” and the load hit the bridge.
Car haulers have unusually low ground clearance.
This is US Highway one, not the turnpike or I-95. In that area it’s basically two lanes in each direction with turning lanes in the medians.
Dumass driver should have gone to the next light or turned around in a grocery store parking lot but apparently decided to shave off some time (or something)
I think Singh means “truck driver” in India, like “Patel” means “innkeeper.”
