I've been watching their stock over the last few days and today I noticed a sudden jump up. I wondered if Trump's advice had something to do with it.

I expect it to fall again after they don't take his advice.

Maybe people think the US is going to buy 10% of it...

Quit supporting LGBTQ and drop the DEI.

Changing the logo back is the least of changes needed.

“I noticed a sudden jump up”

####################

Beware the “dead cat bounce”.

My guess is that, at best, it will struggle for some time.

In 1991 protesters launched a series of boycotts against Cracker Barrel after company policy resulted in the firing of numerous LGBTQ+ employees. The firings and boycotts became national news and eventually grew into a larger debate about shareholder influence on company employment policies and the lack of legal protections for LGBTQ+ workers. The queer network has had it out for Cracker Barrel for a long time. It WANTS it to go down in flames.

What ignorant people there are in the world!

Has any company ever come out and admitted they made a mistake and won back public support ?

After U actually read the article, I still can’t tell if the stock closed back at the price the day before the announcement, or just was higher at the end of trading yesterday than it closed the day before. You know, like actual reporting with numbers and stuff like that.

Of course, I got dilated in both eyes earlier and I’m still having some issues reading small print, but still .....

Rather than just showing one person, we wanted to feature lots of people

Cracker was sooo... non diverse (aka white and male), management & investors felt the need to dial down the whiteness and maleness. First step - get rid of the white man. Let people adjust. Then introduce a 'diverse' entity. Let people adjust. Then another. Then another.. until you have the rainbow.

I took a look at their stock prices and I didn’t see anything all that drastic to begin with. In fact, it seemed to be up year over year. But I’m about 1% higher than clueless when it comes to stock analysis.

I agree that they will fail if they don’t take his advice and alter course. Can they afford to lose the loyal customer base that admittedly is not enough to currently sustain them and hope that the new rebranding draws in so many more new customers that it wont matter in the overall? Doesn’t feel likely, does it?

Black Rock is the biggest share holder for Cracker Barrel. Black Rock and Vanguard own the world. Look up any stock you know. Chances are Black Rock is at the top. See for yourself.

I expect the stock is getting a pump from DEI inspired buying. If so, it won’t last.

Often, when a stock like this plunges, a bird of prey swoops in to take over the company, change management and then resell at a profit.

Trump seems to be enabling a vulture change.

The odd thing is that people are up in arms because of the change in their look. But my wife and I, former huge fans, lost interest about a year or so ago when we noticed a significant drop in the quality of their food.

We’re not boycotting them or anything. We just no longer think the quality of food is worth the price. Kinda like Little Ceasar’s Pizza.

Unless their logo is distasteful, the logo should have nothing to do with the service, food, and cleanliness of the restaurants. If you like their facilities, then changing the logo makes absolutely no difference in their product.

This is just another misdirection by the politicians to deter their actions so they can get away with them by keeping you occupied with stupidity. And the media is “whoring” themselves out for the effort.

This is not a new restaurant business and most likely the servers, cooks, or anyone attached to the restaurant chain are still there doing the same job they were doing before the idiocy started. And people who are screaming about this should should take a real hard look at what they are doing and be embarrassed.
