Sig Sauer Ping!..............
Too much smoke.
Buy and carry SA/DA with decock lever.
It will never let you down.
Depending on my attire, I’ll be carrying a Sig P238 or P938.
““If one part begins to slip off another part, it’s a matter of time before it moves all the way down and you’re going to have a striker hit the primer”
Now that’s some technical sh*t right there.
Sounds like they are either prone to wear on certain parts prematurely or people aren’t maintaining them enough.
Buyer beware on personal ownership.
The thing about this case is that at first, it seemed it would be the end of the P320 family, with the story being that the pistol discharged from inside the holster, striking the user.
Now we’ve got another airman charged with involuntary manslaughter, but no details.
That said, my P320 is staying in the safe until this all gets sorted out.
I’ve never shot a Sig, but they did determine there was a possibility of an uncommanded discharge IIRC.
What else are they going to do? They certainly are not going to turn in all the Sigs and issue some other handgun. As other posters have said, perhaps they don’t allow a round in the chamber until further notice.
My son has a P320. It used to be his EDC. Nope. He won’t touch it now. Overreaction? Maybe, but I think it’s wise.
Go try and sell a P320. There is, basically, no market for ‘em anymore.
I own a P320. Don’t have a lot of rounds down range through it, but I’ve never had any sort of accidental discharge, but it does make a guy wonder a little bit.
I’m old fashioned, but I’d like if they went back to 1911 sidearms. I’m not sure it’s the best out there these days, but I have a bit of a nostalgic attachment to them.
Still don’t know what exactly happened.
Remember when Obama was visiting and he made all the troops turn in every single gun?
