Very interesting. My first student solo cross-country got a little exciting on the third leg VFR-wise and that would have been a very comforting safety feature. My instructor would have laid an egg if I’d had to use it, but it beats an accident.

Pretty much everything about flying a small plane comes naturally after a short exposure to how the controls work.
But landing, now that is the tough part... talk about being nervous at first. It is only cured by long afternoons of touch and go practice.
The only real reason most teens are not pilots is that the price of admission is many times that of driving a car... it’s not really hard but it is really expensive.
