New research indicates that caffeine consumption is associated with subsequent increases in positive affect, and this association is strongest within the first 2.5 hours after awakening (i.e., in the morning).Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that is used by approximately 80% of the world’s population and consumed in a wide variety of forms, including beverages like coffee, tea, soda (e.g., coke), and energy drinks, but also in food items such as chocolate,” said Bielefeld University researcher Justin Hachenberger and his colleagues.

“Positive expectations related to caffeine consumption include reduced tiredness and fatigue, enhanced cognitive and physical performance, and a positive shift in mood.”

” I expect an article out soon saying coffee is bad for you.”

Too much coffee with caffeine causes heart arrhythmia, brain fog, and inflamation in the body.

The inflamation is everywhere, sinuses, stomach, intestines, joints, and lungs. This happens as the caffeine destroys the enzyme diamine oxidase that degrades and removes histamines from the body. Excess histamines are the leading cause of inflamation in the body.

The inflamation caused my colon and lung cancer.

I was drinking coffee 24/7 to get rid of the brain fog. The let down an hour after drinking coffee would put me to sleep.

Now I drink one small cup per day around noon and no longer crave it. Lost 40 pounds in 4 months with ease after cutting back coffee and taking the DAO enzyme, that I make by sprouting green peas.

I suppose ol’ Ben Franklin was right. Moderation in all things.

Were you told by your doctors how much coffee is too much?

Figured it out myself after many surgeries and trips to the ER.

None of my Dr’s, including my oncologist ever heard of the diamine oxidase enzyme.

Thanks for the posts. I just did a bit of research myself. As you noted, caffeine can block the enzyme that helps break down histamine. This can cause problems for folks who are histamine intolerant.

I sure didn’t know that. And it’s one nice thing about Free Republic. Lots of good people who a take the time to share helpful stories.

👍

Best take on morning coffee ever...”IF you don’t believe the dead can come back to life just be around any coffee maker in the morning”.

The Carbon Cult of the Apocalypse does not like Coffee. Periodically they surface articles how horrible production is for da Erf. Since they won’t shut up nor change the subject this will probably increase in stridency and tone, if history is any guide.

Early on in the Mercury Project, NASA nutritionists determined Coffee had no food value, and thus would not be included on the spaceflight menus for Astronauts.

Wally Schirra, an old Navy hand, thought differently. In those days they had a lot of pull and he decided that if Coffee was not necessary for flying in outer space, by golly NASA nutritionists don’t need it on the ground either and Coffee was therefore prohibited for them as well.

This arrangement did not last long. Within a day or two they surrendered and allowed that yes, perhaps Coffee might be OK to include for their ration.

Dunno. I would suspect it’s similar to k cups, as the process of manufacturing is similar, or can be.

Some old school instant is literally just brewed coffee that is freeze dried. I would suspect it would be the same as however it was originally made, but I don’t know if freezing does anything. I wouldn’t think so.

Wildly hypothetizing at this point, I doubt they use paper filters, but rather screens, just for scale purposes. So it would be like French press. But again that’s a wild guess.

When I take a DAO supplement, within minutes I feel like I took a Benadryl, with no side effects.

It even cleared up my sleep apnea. I took two capsules shortly after leaving the ER and woke up in the morning feeling 30 years younger. No joint pain, no lung congestion, no sinus congestion...

It’s hard to imagine that all they are is 100% sprouted green peas. Nothing else. The key is to sprout them in the dark for 10 days. I have a commercial freeze dryer, and I turned the plate heater down to 95 degrees from the normal 125 degrees as any heat over 104 degrees begins to destroy the enzyme. Cooking removes it from our foods.

This enzyme is very high in the mother’s womb during fetal development and is in the mother’s milk the first few days after delivery. It’s why bottle fed babies are more colicky than breast fed babies.

It’s also in colostrum, the cow’s milk immediately after calf delivery. It decreases nasal infections and scours in newborn calves, reducing the need for antibiotics.

Unlike anti-histamines that only block the histamine receptors and do not decrease histamines, DAO actually decreases histamines in the entire body.

“ Studies suggest instant coffee has 30-50% of the antioxidant capacity of freshly brewed coffee, depending on the brand and processing method.”

Instant is also not paper filtered so it has the bad stuff: diterpines.

Always a price to be paid.

The Navy runs on coffee. It always has. Sailors knew.
