Trump plans to PAINT Southern border wall to make it hotter and harder to climb

The border wall separating the United States and Mexico is being painted black to make it too hot for migrants to climb.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem revealed the project was a specific request from Donald Trump as the president celebrated 'ZERO releases' of illegal migrants into the country.

'In the hot temperatures down here, when something is painted black it gets even warmer,' Noem said during a press conference in front of the wall on Tuesday.

She noted the structure is already hard to climb and near impossible to dig under, but said Trump's latest measure will help to secure the American border even further.

'There will be more added to it as far as technology, cameras, sensors,' she added.

The black paint, in addition to making the wall so hot to the touch that migrants will not be able to grip onto it, will have a dual purpose of protecting the steel from rust.

Temperatures can reach as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months in Texas and Mexico, along the lines of the border wall.

The paint job will restore the border wall to Trump's initial design from his first presidency.

During his first term, parts of the wall along Calexico were being painted black, but the project was abandoned to speed up construction of the wall itself.

But now with more than three years left of his term, Trump has allocated an additional $46.5 billion to the completion of his border wall project.

On a summer's day, use your garden hose and squirt your roof. We'd see steam in Chicago.
Now, project that to South Texas...

You could bake a turkey...

How was this overlooked originally, hot metal is known to anyone who lives in the desert heat.

I remember the olive drab 155 guns at Ft. Sill during the summer and the canteen water hot enough to make tea.

After a day in that, the mess hall had colored water drinks like Kool-Aid, without sugar, sugar must have been worth something back then because the mess hall sergeants had also been stealing it at Ft. Polk.

Robotic motion activated Gatling guns mounted on turrets should help reduce climbers too.

“”””Why not a gator moat?””””

Fifty years ago I had two suggestions.
One was that with all the guns cops confiscated from people, give one and 5 or 10 rounds to every illegal we sent back to the corrupt Mexican government they were fleeing, (Mexico would seal that border pronto).

Two was dispose of all of our nuclear waste along a border strip so that even if they came across they wouldn’t bother us for long, that was more to make a point about determination, than being realistic.

“Looks like it’s not painted at all, so it needs paint of some sort”

Yes the steel needs a paint cover. Might as well be black.

But if they do their climbing at night ...

They should have it electrified like the one at Jurassic Park

That, plus non-stop aerial patrols of A10 Warthogs with orders to shoot on sight. We're at war with all nations south of our border.
