I had to put my dog to sleep . It was pretty traumatic the way they did it. It was not what I was lead to believe would happen.

I can’t imagine then saying go feed her to the lions.

When we had to put our cat to sleep we held him while they gave him a shot and that was basically it. He went to sleep, stopped breathing and his little heart gave one last thump-thump and he was gone.

We gave him a proper burial but I know that for large animals that can be an issue unless you have a back-hoe.

Melissa Hortman, DFL Minnesota and her husband were assassinated along with the family dog. All 3 laid in State, I was disappointed that they hadn't stuffed the dog. Also it was a shame that the Catholic Church forbid the dog at the funeral. I guess the Church doesn't agree that “Dogs are people too.” /s
