US President Donald Trump welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House on Monday, calling it "an honor to have Zelensky with us" ahead of joint talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
Trump also noted there was a "reasonable chance" for progress following his recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, Zelensky thanked Trump for his help regarding the meeting and for the letter First Lady Melania Trump sent to Putin about abducted children.

US Troops would NOT go to Ukraine as long as the war is ongoing.
If a peace treaty is signed, Putin asked Trump not to stage troop in Ukraine but would allow security guarantees by NATA/USA for Ukraine.
No one knows what kind of security, but it isn’t troops. The speculation by the media have suggested this, but they have no idea, really.
Seriously, he was reacting to the impolite press shouting like monkeys in a zoo.

1) Enter Ukraine to participate in joint maneuvers with Russian troops
2) The EU says it doesn’t not want or need US troops, but does want US pilots in planes overhead. The reply from Trump: US pilots are troops.
3) An extra 1000 US troops are placed on bases at the Polish, Ukraine border. Poland threatens Russia with moving the border, thus putting those troops in Ukraine
4) US troops are shipped into Ukraine to prepare and launch a mass attack into the Donbas
5) US troops joint Ukraine troops along the front lines and because they have been focused on DEI for 4 yrs, they are wiped out in 48 hrs

If Trump sends US troops to that corrupt dump, I will be bitterly disappointed in him and so will the majority of the American people. When I voted for Trump, I voted for no more stupid and worthless wars.
Remember the Founding Fathers warnings against entanglement in foreign affairs and their advocacy for neutrality. Sadly, the US has done the exact opposite.

Now you can't put gas in your car or buy a light bulb without being affected by events thousands of miles away.
I don't want any US soldiers fighting and dying anywhere. But I prefer they be present to prevent yet another really big war last like the last two, where we avoided being defeated mainly to two historical accidents and got caught up in two huge, costly wars despite the huge public sentiment against US involvement.
