Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts should all be combined, as should Delaware, and Maryland. The tiny little states are over represented by population in the Senate.That would immediately deprive the Democrats of 6 Senators

That’s a GREAT idea! We always think about splitting liberal states like CA, OR, and WA into two, but not merging the ultra liberal states into one. That makes a lot of sense.

Of course, that has as much chance of happening as does splitting the big liberal states in two.
