I was a rural teenager in the 70’s and we ALL had access to guns, knives, etc. for hunting after school and before evening chores and supper.
Never in our wildest DREAMS would it of occurred to ANY of us to turn those weapons on one another!

More than once I've wished it was the 1950's again. At least they showed the pictures of the little bastards involved. I'm surprised at that.

The murder rate was much higher in the 1980’s than it is today.
Back then I knew a couple people that were murdered and my roommate at baseball camp hacked a random kid up with an axe a couple weeks after camp concluded.
