The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

From time to time, I test your cryptograms on ChatGPT and Grok to see if they’ve advanced enough to solve them. Until today, both always failed — so much so that I’d given up trying.

But with last week’s release of the supposedly very powerful ChatGPT-5, I decided to try again. This time, it cracked the puzzle in about 40 seconds. Surprised, I gave the same cryptogram to Grok, and it solved it in roughly the same time.
