From January to May 2017, James Comey moved from covert scheming to open warfare against the incoming president — misleading Congress, trapping Michael Flynn, renewing surveillance on Trump, and leaking to spark the Mueller probe.
Thus far, James Comey’s activities have been largely confined to his duties, however corrupt, within the FBI, or inward-looking. From January 2017 onward, his activities become dramatically darker, arguably illegal, and more forward-looking.
On January 5, 2017, a bit more than two weeks before Inauguration, Obama met with Biden, James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice, and Assistant Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Comey did not disclose this meeting to Congress when asked about how many times he met with Obama. "Twice," he said, under oath. It was actually three times. This omission is a “tell” as to how sensitive the discussions were in this now infamous meeting.
The very next day, January 6, Comey went up to New York to tell Trump about the “salacious and unverified” material in the dossier. This was the first time Comey had met Trump, and he had a “goal.”
We now know his “goal” was to launch the dossier portion of the scheme. His meeting with the president-elect was the news hook they needed to get the dossier into the legacy media bloodstream, and within hours, it was everywhere.
Even while Comey was briefing Trump on the garbage dossier, his malign machinations were about to bear fruit elsewhere. Via Fox News:

If that’s what punishment is prescribed for treason nowadays. If we are to be a nation of laws, let’s have good ones that solve the problems & stick by them. Right now, there seems to be too many of us citizens seeing too little actually being done about criminal acts in our land. More swift justice seems to be called for if we want to preserve America as a republic.
The main feature of American Democracy has been a peaceful, friendly transfer from the old administration to the newly elected one!
As far as I remember and study, the old admin was trying to be helpful to the new one. They may not liked them, but for the good of the country, they tried to facilitate the transfer as much as they could.
Obama people, in 2017 violated that sacred contract. The 2017 transfer was as hostile as they possibly could.
So, as much as they talk about Democracy, they were the ones who tried to destroy it!

Keep in Mind a small measure of revenge was employed already. Comey was speaking at a law enforcement conference in LA (probably the keynote speaker), when he sees on TV backstage he’s been fired. He was humiliated in front of his peers. Further, he was informed that since he was no longer a US Gov employee, he had to arrange his own flight back to DC.
It was actually the Clintonistas that started it in 2001 when they realized they weren’t going to have a President Al Gore running interference for their crimes.
So they did everything they could to slow the transition, including petty things like ripping the “W” off of every keyboard in the WH.
Chuck Schumer is the one who issued a very public threat to Trump. His name is missing from all this mess.
