I started to watch the series, “Ballard” on Netflix. One of the protagonists (a retired homicide investigator) is a male homosexual. The lead female rails about frat boys forcing girls to have non-consensual sex. Most of the white men in the show are racist homophobes. The show pushes the gay agenda at every turn. It’s just horrible. Spare yourselves and don’t watch it.

Sadly, that's most of the excreta that flows from Hollyweird these days. My favorites are the ones that have very engaging episodes 1-5, then once the audience is hooked, they spring a homo plotline on them completely out of thin air. As soon as that happens, I turn the show off. I can't stand being manipulated by something that's supposed to be entertaining.

There is practically nothing that is good in todays film and series productions.

Fortunately there is a very deep bench between the 20s and the 2010s of decent films, series, and plays and music that can be mined. Same for books. I am just finishing up John Goulds columns, a series of essays in book form that bring laughter and joy.
