Parents in the United States have quite a lot of freedom when it comes to naming their children. However, some names are banned across the country and cannot be used officially.
Naming prohibitions aim to stop people from choosing offensive or confusing names. Trademarks are also usually not permitted. Here are some examples of illegal names in the United States:
