Israel's military said it killed Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al Sharif in a strike on Gaza City on Sunday, accusing him of heading a Hamas cell.
"Anas Al Sharif served as the head of a terrorist cell in the Hamas terrorist organization and was responsible for advancing rocket attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops," the military said in a statement.

The Reuters reporting commits a critical sin of omission.
They had several Al Jazeera ‘Journalists’ that filmed October 7th, 2023 terror attack.
And Reuters will most certainly list Al Sharif’s name under their list of journalists killed in their line of duty.
Which wouldn’t be incorrect, of course, just that his line was not journalism but terrorism.
The real problem is we have allowed Hamas to write the Rules of Engagement. Hamas exists today because they hide behind the civilian population. In WWII we burnt the enemies cities to the ground and nuked Japan. It worked.
A terrorist organization and army is dependent on the civilian population for logistics, food, shelter, and new soldiers, etc. They are a legitimate target. The only innocents are the very young and very old.

A short while ago, in Gaza City, the IDF struck the terrorist Anas Al-Sharif, who posed as a journalist for the Al Jazeera network.
Anas Al-Sharif served as the head of a terrorist cell in the Hamas terrorist organization and was responsible for advancing rocket attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
The IDF had previously disclosed intelligence information and many documents found in the Gaza Strip, confirming his military affiliation to Hamas. The documents once again confirm his involvement in terrorist activities, from which the Al Jazeera network has attempted to disassociate itself.
The documents include personnel rosters, lists of terrorist training courses, phone directories, and salary documents for the terrorist, and provide unequivocal proof that he serves as a military terrorist in Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The documents also provide proof of the integration of the Hamas terrorist within the Qatari Al Jazeera network.
Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munition, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.
