A while back, I asked for assistance with selecting a hearing aid manufacturer and supplier.

Of the 50+ replies, most of them (about 35) said go to Costco and nobody had anything bad to say about Costco.
As an update, I just got home from Costco with my new Phillips brand aids, and so far so good. My out-of-pocket was $1,599 plus a 1% Illinois tax. That's compared to several thousand for other suppliers.
Next step is to send in receipts to see if any of this is covered by my Medicare supplement. I'm guessing no, but I know how much I would get if I didn't send any paperwork.
So, thanks to everyone who pointed me to Costco. It really was the best deal I could find, other than the $99 dollar DIY stuff I stated seeing on Facebook as soon as I looked at the different hearing aid sites.

May all that you hear ring clear and harmonious.
I recently received a replacement set of Oticon aids from the veterans administration. Cost to me: 15 minutes of travel to the local VA facility. They will provide a new set if needed every four years.
My oldest son (64) is getting set up at the VA tomorrow (Mon) for a set of hearing aids...
I’ve always suspected that he likes being hard of hearing, so he can selectively ignore stuff said to him...
Do they make one that allows me to block the frequency of my wife’s voice when in critical bitch mode?
Just for humor.... 😁
That’s not quite the way it works.
When my dad was in his 60’s back in the day, there would be 5-7 people sitting around the dinner table all chatting away but dad remained mute. He didn’t talk. After dinner, he would talk one on one pretty easily. I always wondered about that until my hearing started to go bad in my 60’s. What I’ve noticed is that in one on one conversations with or without hearing aids —I can follow the conversation fairly well. But at a crowded table with many people talking—I understand almost nothing. Now I know why my dad was mute. He could not tell what anyone was saying. It was all just a hubub in the ears.
Now hearing aids have a setting for a crowded room so you can hear the person sitting right next to you over the noise.
Note location of off switch.
Like the old joke about the deaf mute when his wife would be in a bI***ing mood at bed time he turned the lights out.

I have the Phonak hearing aids. I didn’t want to get them but my but my wife kept thinking she told me stuff that I didn’t think she told me. I haven’t had the problem of not understanding the conversation in a crowded room. To me everything is just normal I just hear better. What I really like is the little noises that I didn’t realize I had lost. I especially enjoy hearing the birds again. Hearing grandkids in another room is fun too. I like the extra feedback I get when driving. I can hear other cars coming up along side me and little noises the car makes.
I got my Phonaks at the VA and they tell me they are the best hearing aids made. I don’t know one from another but these are good.
What?
(Sorry, couldn’t resist). :)

Can’t comment since I’m not familiar with your supplement.
However, if they don’t cover it, keep your paperwork, they maybe deductible on your state taxes.
Exactly what I experienced until I got my hearing aids from Costco.
Thanks for this info. Please keep has updated. I’ll looking to upgrade from an 8 year old Phonak set.
“I’ve always suspected that he likes being hard of hearing, so he can selectively ignore stuff said to him...”
That was something of a benefit for me, before I broke down and got the hearing aids. But when the band called on me to join them in a finale, and I missed the call from just feet away from a speaker, I decided to get the help.
Not this model. I asked.
When I first went to an audiologist I was accompanied by my wife.
After testing my hearing, he turned to my wife and told her, “If he acts like he cannot hear you, he’s telling the truth. His hearing is severely impaired at the same frequency as your voice.”
I pulled out my wallet and handed him $50. I said, “A deals a deal.”
LOL..
