Boston's raging drug problem has deepened after images surfaced of a man hunched over outside of the city's poshest mall.
The unidentified man could be seen lurched over and using a phone outside of Copley Place in the Democratic-led city, in footage taken by a passer-by.
It was shared to social media by a group of locals openly opposed to Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu as the latest example of the problems facing the Massachusetts city.
'Wow can't even shop in Mayor Wu's Boston without running into drug addicts,' the post said. 'This is in Boston's most luxurious mall too.'
The city has been in the spotlight after residents lashed out at Wu, blaming her policies for enabling behavior similar to what was captured outside the mall.
Locals have blamed Wu for her decision to hand out free crack pipes, syringes, and other paraphernalia to addicts in 2022 as helping fuel the problems.
While Wu's administration pitched the controversial move as 'harm reduction,' critics have countered that all she's done is increase the permissiveness of public drug use in Boston.
The intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard, known as 'Mass and Cass,' is notorious for open-air drug usage.

My wife and I left on a cruise out of Vancouver earlier this year. Downtown had a lot of drug zombies. Surreal to see.

I well remember San Francisco’s needle exchange program:
“The city lifted all limits on the number of syringes that could be exchanged, allowing participants to receive an unlimited number of sterile syringes in exchange for used ones.”
The ratio was 10-1 - 10 needles given to every one turned in.
Those needles ended up in the sewers and washed up along San Francisco’s beaches.
A city worker told me to watch my dogs on the dog beach b/c needles were washing up all over the place, he showed me the pile he’d picked up just that morning.
I plead complete ignorance about the whole “zombie” deathstyle. Lot’s of questions come to mind (I’m not expecting answers).
What sort of life expectancy do these drug zombies have, once they are in the condition of the hunchback guy, or other unconscious idiots shown at the link?
How many corpses does the city haul off every day?
How do people who obviously cannot do any sort of productive “work” get money for food? I guess they can steal, beg, dumpster dive, go to do-gooder soup kitchens, etc. Are these people collecting government benefits (I bet many of them are)? How can they afford dope? No one is giving that away long term.
Is anyone ever saved from zombie-ism, or is it the inescapable spiral to death it appears? Does the city or any charities even try to rescue them?
What does the mayor and other idiots think they are doing for these losers by abetting their misery and sordid deaths?
Will the voters in Boston ever figure out that they voted for this?

You can’t have the LEAST discriminating person in the community run your government. They have to be the MOST discriminating person to serve that function well. “Discrimination” means to tell the significant differences between these things. “Prejudice” means not to be able to tell these valid differences — and thinks the least competent need more freedom to destroy themselves and everybody else around them — as their public service.
Say, the Suffolk County sheriff was indicted for being essentially a business partner with a marijuana dealer. Now we see the Boston mayor is passing out free crack pipes, making it easier to use crack. Is it wrong to wonder if the mayor is getting a piece of the crack cocaine action?
I would love to say it is simply the evil racist democrat Marxist communist mayor.
But that is not all.
It is Communist Red China.
Red China is in a Drug War to destroy the social fabric and government of the American Republic.
That is what you see in Boston and elsewhere.
Red China is destroying America.
Mayor Wu is their agent.
