Is this clown on his redemption tour?

It’s a good point he raises, but I think it’s all overblown. Recess appointments aren’t what a lot of people think they are. They only last through the end of the current session of Congress, which means someone appointed today would only serve for less than 18 months.

You aren’t going to get top caliber people to accept roles in Washington under these conditions.

We need more Massies. He reminds me of Mr Smith Goes to Washington.

Massie is desperate to generate some positive publicity for himself. The pro forma sessions have been in the news and discussed ad nausea.

Quelle surprise, the GOPe/uniparty/dem thieves are working with the MSM like they have for decades. Not so much that Massie is correct on this issue but these losers work together to continue to destroy the nation and pile on the $37,000,000,000,000 debt while on vacation, our tax dollars of course.

This happens all the time. And i don’t mean that in a general sense. It literally happens all the time. And it has for at least a decade.

It’s not “news.”

Obama had no probs making his recess appointments in his first two years when dems were running things.

In a nutshell, per the linked doc, the Pro Forma bit to keep congress "open", was never used until Bush 2 towards the end of his term.

The first Congress Obama had to deal with (both being Dem run at the time) did not use it until the end of his second year in office, because they were worried about the Thanksgiving break. Nevertheless, Obama made 28 recess appointments in his second year. None in the first, probably because he got everyone in he wanted. List of appointments on page 9 of the doc.

The press doesn’t report on bad things that help democrats.

So when RINOs help democrats, you don’t see it widely publicized.

The primary problem here is the lack of repub cooperation w/Trump. They are afraid of “doge like” people cutting spending they want to cut.

No recess appointments this time. Fight Schumer and get them all through, that is what we need

Massie is in the House. They don’t confirm anything.
More grandstanding by a loser.
Could you imagine how much a “maverick” this zero would be if he ran for McConnell’s seat?

Glad he is pointing this out. Their actions hurt Trump and the American people. I hope Trump sees who Johnson and Thune really are from this.

Massie is correct. Thune may be every bit the snake that Mitch McConnell is.

“”Good for Massie for pointing this out.””

Why would Massie even have to ask such a stupid question. Doesn’t he know, by now, the “why”?
