We all better hope India doesn't cutoff its supply of generic drugs to this country:
India is a major supplier of pharmaceuticals, particularly generic drugs, to the United States. Approximately 47% of all generic prescriptions in the US are filled by Indian companies. This significant supply contributes to billions of dollars in savings for the US healthcare system. However, recent discussions about reciprocal tariffs could potentially impact this trade relationship.

Yes, especially ant-viral drugs.
Pharmaceuticals are currently excluded from the tariffs but that doesn’t stop India from declaring an embargo on the drugs.

Why do I feel this is not really about “Russian oil?”
Trump has been particularly aggressive with Canada, South Africa and India.
Little to do with Russia/Ukraine, but all are active outposts of the rump-UK empire and WEF globalism.
Just a thought.....

American pharma has plenty of capacity and knowledge to produce as many generics as needed.

Tax remittences. That will impact a pretty wide group in India—from the average family living off relatives in the US to large corporations. Make it hurt to get dollars.

Assume most Indian citizens are intelligent achievers; why would they sacrifice their families’ future for a socialist paradise ? The food may be good but that is transferable; the rest not so desirable except family. If they were true believers in India they would not stay in the United States.
