THE ICONIC Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM is set to be canceled after a stunning 20-year run, sources exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
Stern, 71, who has had a mega-bucks contract for decades at the subscription satellite radio provider, will likely cut some sort of deal for Sirius to keep his catalogue upon his exit, sources said.
After nearly 20 years, Howard Stern is set to part ways with SiriusXM, sources exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun
"Stern's contract is up in the fall and while Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don't intend for him to take it," one insider said of the impending end to the shock jock's latest five-year contract.
"Sirius and Stern are never going to meet on the money he is going to want. It's no longer worth the investment."
The insider added that fans may expect Sirius to strike a deal for his library.
"But as far as him coming back to doing the show, there's no way they can keep paying his salary," the source said. Read More Howard Stern "After you saw what happened with Stephen Colbert, it's like they just can't afford to keep him going."
Another source said Stern's political leanings are also not working in his favor.
Stern famously interviewed presidential hopeful, Vice President Kamala Harris, in the run-up to the 2024 election.
Harris' decision to appear on Stern's show was slammed by many Republicans who accused her of after avoiding a number of mainstream media appearances.
SiriusXM and Stern did not respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.

Never listened to this numb nuts.
The Kind of All Enema
They're not aiming for someone has time to sit and listen. They're targeting working commuters in target demographics that advertisers want. Some of them are driving for less than 10 minutes per trip. The music is meant to be a filler in between the advertisements.
I wouldn’t say I listened to his show religiously but on occasion I did and it was good for a few laughs. Once his show went off over the air radio I never came across him after that except on the odd tv appearance and postings on FR. Apparently I didn’t miss much
I remember Howard Stern.
I still remember the “...and Baba Booey to y’all”, during the OJ chase, and Al Michaels having to clue Peter Jennings in on the fact that it was a ‘farcical call’.
It shows how shallow both groups are.
Howard Stern was a genius back in the 80’s. His comic schtic was unbeatable. Soon after the 1990’s he fell into the cesspool.
Drew and Mike were a huge turn off to me... I was just started giving them a chance and one of them said, “...Oh the Davidians were a bunch of wackos that deserved to be exterminated...” Larry I couldnt believe it!! I never listened to them again.... not even for 10 seconds!!
My turn off with Stern was, I forget the black girl’s name, his partner he had on his show. Rozz? Linda? anyway, talking about the date she went on the night before and asked her on the air if she let her date hammer her in the A**... I looked at the radio and smh... turned it off never to return!! I’m a slight perv from way back, but live on the air!?? absolutely ZERO fkn class...
Yeah he used to be a funny guy then he just lost it, I dont know what happened to him..I dont know if politics took over his life and just made him become mean or what happened to him but he changed and changed for the worse
I’ll never forget that.
That may have been the most hysterical trolling episode in the history of TV news. LMAO.
He used to be very politically incorrect. He would say things you're not supposed to say (according to the kind of people he suddenly wanted to be associated with). I never listened to him on Sirius since I'm not a subscriber. But from what I can gather, his about face happened suddenly after Trump won in 2016.
I would in no way fault you for making good use of their services. In my case, Stern just turned me majorly sour from the get go, like a splash of sewage in the punch bowl.
If it wasn’t for Sirius Howard would be doing 3 am broadcasts on shortwave.

Yeah he’s elderly and worth 650 million. He should enjoy the time he has left.
Good news keeps coming!
Fart man fades away...
He should have listened to his dad.....”SHUT UP! SIT DOWN! SHUT UP! SIT DOWN! I told you not to be stupid, you moron!”
He was funny on terrestrial radio when he had to work around the censors and push the envelope of FCC rules. He was a pig but he wasn’t nasty about it. Oh well. I tried to listen to clips on the satellite but it was just sad.
