Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov did not rule out on Monday the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff. Witkoff is supposed to travel to Russia sometime this week, with Peskov saying Moscow is "always happy" to host him and describing him as "important, meaningful and very useful."
Commenting on US President Donald Trump's decision to deploy two nuclear submarines after a Russian official's "foolish and inflammatory statements," Peskov said that "there can be no winner in a nuclear war" and stressed that the Kremlin is "very attentive to the topic of nuclear non-proliferation."

All our subs are nuclear.
The US has a good number of non-nuclear submersibles for specialized missions such as SEAL team delivery, deep diving rescues, sensor & mine delivery.
But all the true submarines are nuclear, including SSNs, SSBNs & SSGNs.
There has been some interest in adapting German Type 212 non-nuclear AIP subs (super-quiet) for littoral combat roles, but so far, nothing specific has transpired in that direction, that I can find.
My Grandson is an engineer at Electric Boat.
Well all our subs are nuclear powered but the Ohio class ( Boomers) carry trident missiles which are nukes. The Virginia class and our sea wolves carry I believe tomahawk missiles.
Most likely Trump does have a couple of Boomers hanging around Russia.
