US President Donald Trump said that his special envoy Stephen Witkoff will arrive in Russia on August 6-7.

On August 3, the head of the White House said that Witkoff is focused on food supplies to Gaza.

"I think he may go to Russia next /br. this/ week, Wednesday or Thursday. They want to see him, they asked to meet with him“, Trump said. “We'll see what happens“, he added.

Russia's terms just leaked out.

"Just bring a pen and we'll have the surrender documents in
order for you to sign when you get here. Oh, and by the
way, bring back that 300 billion you stole from us with
you, too. Those are our terms."

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

I suspect we will sell it slightly different than how you describe it.

But yes, Ukraine will lose much of their land ~20%, a major industrial area and a port city which is also the heart of Ukraines steel industry. Ukraine won’t be in NATO.

And yes, we literally “stole” Russia’s money and they’ll want it back.

Long term, what we did, even though we feel justified and super virtuous, showed the world that using the US dollar and relying on a World Bank where the US holds the reigns is a baaaad thing. If we don’t like you...

Years ago, it was said that being dependent on Russian gas and oil is a serious problem since the Russians are quick to turn the spigot off if you don’t dance to their tune. Funny thing is, the Russians never turned anything off, but we blew up a pipeline!

There is how we see ourselves and how others see us. Big difference.

Unless Russia surrenders the lands that she forcibly annexed from Ukraine, she will continue being a pariah state for decades to come.

And while a compromise might delay Ukraine's eventual accession to NATO, Ukraine will nonetheless immediately start forging military alliances with individual Western powers, effectively sealing Russia's fate.

I can envisage no outcome that will allow Putin to portray himself as a victorious hero in the eyes of the Russian people.

Putin's military adventurism and expansionism will cost Russia dearly. His failed war will consign Russia to the geopolitical backwaters of History for decades to come.

Regards,
