Kamchatka has had thousands of eruptions over time.

Some years ago we went to a town in New Zealand called Rotorua (? spelling). It's so volcanically active that the whole town smells like rotten eggs and everywhere you look you see pools of boiling water.
But the upside for the residents is that they don't have to pay for heat...their houses are hooked up to underground heat.

The Kamchatka peninsula contains one of the most dangerous volcanic systems on earth.
Of the top five, one is there. The others are one in Japan, Java, New Zealand, and the one at Naples Italy.
Yellowstone is even mentioned.
There are 40 to 50 eruptions on earth at any one time.
Do not need a hyper eruption to cause environmental damage worldwide.
Right now, the eruptions in Iceland have continued to pump S02 into the air that it has caused slight concern in Europe.

The Cascadia Fault about 25 km off the coast of BC-WASHINGTON-OREGON-NORCAL cracks under with a Mag 8.3 earthquake and tsunami every 246 years on average over the past 10,000 years. Its last earthquake was Jan 26 1700, when it destroyed villages in Japan. The resulting tsunami killed every coastal tribe from California up past Vancouver, and the coast was still barren when Lewis and Clark got there 13 years later.

0 earthquakes are recorded about every 520 years, but are happening faster and more frequently the past 4500 years.
We are overdue by 75 yeats.
