For being only the 42nd most populous state in the nation, Maine seems to be overachieving when it comes to corupt politicians.

Really? If you don’t want to be subject to the laws or regulations, don’t buy property on the lake. Did you watch the video? He admits fault in the video. He signed a settlement agreement the day before the court date. Then he went ahole

The only people this inconveniences are the poor folks who have to count and bag it. The people this guy is angry at don’t give a hoot.
I understand the feeling…but target your “malicious compliance” towards the people who deserve it. Not their minions.
To: Vermont Lt
Yeah, but if they voted for those crooks, then they deserve it.

Oh, c'mon. People assume that people have to count every single copper round by hand. The picture plainly shows that the coin is in the middle of a room. So the solution is simple: rent an industrial sized coin counter, and use a shovel to feed the coin into the counter. Depending on the coin counter rented, you get either bagged coin, or rolled coin. (I used to work for a company that manufactured machines to count and roll coin -- it's not hard.)
The bigger problem is the sheer weight of the coin; that will require some real muscle, and the services of a Brink's truck to take it to a bank.

Apparently you didn’t watch the video. The guy’s an ass. First he violates the conditions set for him for the property, ADMITS IT and then unilaterally establishes what fine he would be willing to pay.
I hope he’s assessed a handling fee fitting an ass.
This dumbass shouldn’t be working as a contractor.

The only people he impacts are the people who have to count the change or take it to the bank to count it.
It's a pointless "protest".
To: j.havenfarm
I was referring to the fact that they were considering a handling fee.

The commission had no basis for the fine.
