The Kremlin said on July 29 it had “taken note” of a statement by US President Donald Trump that he was shortening his deadline for Moscow to sign up to a ceasefire in Ukraine or face sanctions.
Mr Trump set a new deadline on July 28 of 10 or 12 days for Russia to make progress towards ending the war in Ukraine or face consequences, underscoring frustration with President Vladimir Putin over the 3½-year-old conflict.
Asked about Mr Trump’s statement on July 29 during a conference call with reporters, the Kremlin kept its remarks short.
“We have taken note of President Trump’s statement yesterday. The special military operation continues,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, employing the term that Moscow uses for its war effort in Ukraine.
“We remain committed to a peace process to resolve the conflict around Ukraine and to ensure our interests in the course of this settlement.”

So which is it?
LOL, Trump PROMISED to give Putin 50 days to finish off Ukraine, and Putin was complying. So why the change of plans?
You’re delusional. Trump’s deadline was not a promise to give Putin time to finish off Ukraine. The most he has been willing to concede is territory along the current line of control. He has never agreed to Putin’s demands to subjugate Ukraine.
50 DAYS, dude.
If Russia hasn’t been able to conquer Ukraine in the past three years, they weren’t going to be able to do it in 50 days.🤣🤣🤣
“If Russia hasn’t been able to conquer Ukraine in the past three years, they weren’t going to be able to do it in 50 days.”
You haven’t been following things in the past week, I see.
ZEEPER FOLLIES PINGLIST!(((PING!)))
Some items:
1) Casualty numbers are unknown. You can find 15 zillion different sources and quotes of numbers for them, but none of them are impartial.
2) The border and line length of combat is enormous. Troop concentration in any one place must necessarily be low.
3) To my surprise and the surprise of many, oil consumption by Ukraine has not spiked during the war. It has declined. It was already in decline for many years prior to 2022, but it is clear that war did not increase fuel burn. All those tanks and planes and trucks do not offset the population that fled elsewhere.
4) Russian perspectives get nearly no coverage in the western media. I suspect the reverse is true, too, but we should be able to search RT and TASS and get some feel for what the Russian populace hears of western MSM bias.
Don’t bet against President Trump, Ivan.
I don't make wagers of any sort. Not about Easter ceasefires, like you did, Victoria.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tell your mom to tell you to tell Tucker to tell The Putin to tell Melania to tell Trump to tell Khamenei to tell Netanyahu to tell Macron to tell Starmer to tell Giorgia Meloni to tell Kaja Kallas to tell Friedrich Merz to tell Lukashenko to tell Ursula von der Leyen to tell Little Zelya to surrender.
50 days was always too generous.
Why should Putin care?
