President Donald Trump addressed the ongoing concerns of famine in Gaza on Monday, breaking from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Sunday comments in which he said, “There is no starvation in Gaza.”
Trump was asked about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza while meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland. “It’s going to be working where the United States will be helping with the food. You know, we have a lot of access to food; we got a lot of food ourselves, and we’re going to bring it over there. We’re also going to make sure that they don’t have barriers stopping people,” Trump said when asked about the issue. He added:
You know, you’ve seen the areas where they actually have food, and the people are screaming for the food in there. They’re 35, 40 yards away, and they won’t let them because they have lines that are set up, and whether they’re set up by Hamas or whoever, but they’re very strict lines, and we have to get rid of those lines.
But we’re going to be getting some good, strong food. We can save a lot of people. I mean, some of those kids are — that’s real starvation stuff. I see it, and you can’t fake that.
So we’re gonna be even more involved. We did some airlifts before, some airdrops, and the people are running for it. And the Prime Minister is going to help us. They’re very effective with that. You’ve done that before and for many. They’ve done that for 100 years very well, so it’s not very hard to do, actually.
Widespread media reports have documented the dire conditions in Gaza in recent days as social media has also been awash with a typical amount of misinformation – including images taken from other war zones or out of context. Israel announced a pause in fighting on Sunday to allow for food distribution and to assist UN agencies in aid delivery. Aid distribution sites have become flashpoints of violence in recent weeks as shootings have killed scores of Palestinians, with both sides blaming the other for the mass killings.
Good grief... really?
Trump is grandstanding as he sees an opportunity to win deluded hearts and minds. Sad to see him validate the impressions many have when it comes to his ego.

Trump needs to stop listening to someone inside his circle about Israel and talk w Bibi.
Give actual food, not one dime of money to buy food with. And set up a distribution program with Bibi to make sure it goes to those who need it, 100%.
Infuriating propaganda falsely confirmed by Pres. Trump.
Bibi is unreliable.
President Trump, Hamas can be forcing them to be starved for their propaganda. Also, AI can do wonders with images, as well.
I don’t know.
Assume for sake of argument it’s real and can’t be faked.
It can be caused by Hamas.
Hamas has plenty of food.
I can see them deliberately starving people.
.
.
Aid workers ambushed and buried.
Trump can’t ignore it when there’s pictures all over the media of little children being starved to death. No amount of Israeli propaganda can hide this.
Trump said it’s caused by Hamas.
I’m sick of one issue people. Trump is doing a fine job as America’s president, not Isreal’s.
He’s done everything for Israel and Netanyahu in Gaza and Iran, then I see supposed Jewish republicans cursing Trump out on line every time Trump dares to disagree with Bibi.
Screw everybody who goes against our President.
There is a break. Bibi said there is no starvation. There is.
the question is who is responsible ? Both sides pointing at each other.
Trump is going to step in.
Bibi has said this and he is likely right
“He added that Israel had “enabled the amount (of aid) required by international law to come in” and claimed Hamas “steals this humanitarian aid and then accuses Israel of not supplying it”.”
But to say there is no starvation as Bibi did is not correct.
But you can certainly lie about the cause...
In the past Bibi has said that Hamas starves their people. So it's hard to believe that Bibi recently meant there is no starvation, period, instead of meaning that there is no starvation caused by Israel.
The appearance of a humanitarian crisis helps Hamas in several ways:
1) shame the US and Israel into sending yet more food, which Hamas profits from in terms of cash flow and control of the population.
2) blame Israel and the US for starving Gaza’s people.
3) bait the US and Israel into denying there’s starvation - making us look callous.
By not denying there’s famine, but attributing it to Hanas not distributing it, President Trump has undercut their narrative -
Hamas, which has (very regrettably) NOT been eliminated yet, interfers with the food distribution. Israel (and now USA) are sending in TONS AND TONS of Free food and supplies and provisions. Eliminate the Hamas terrorists and open the Egyptian border wall and the entire propaganda war will have to invent new lies against the IDF.
I think Trump can manage to think for himself.
