Longer flight time and 50 cal. in the nose and you’d have something there.

Just this decade’s jet pack. No real practical application unlike the drone style sky bikes.
However SW vehicles weren’t powered by ice engines and didn’t use fans to levitate and ran longer than a minute. Aside from that these are perfect SW vehicles, except for not having a blaster weapon in the front.
From the amount of exhaust smoke, appears to be running a two stroke engine.
That is a no-go for the EPA and CARB eco-weenies.
Totally impractical.
What is promising technology for those who can afford it is hybrid VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) aircraft.
Particularly, when electricity is used for vertical takeoff and landing, but jet engines are used to propel the craft forward and recharge the batteries.
This design would allow owners to park a small craft in their garages and travel to and from their home, even in a neighborhood, without noise or the lack of a runway being an obstacle. Short trips around town could be all-electric, while traveling to other cities would use jet fuel.
For those who cannot afford to buy such vehicles, there will probably be reasonably priced air taxis... eventually.
